The targeting of his family and PTI party activists is a flagrant violation of their rights to liberty, freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly. Such actions speak to the severity of the current restrictions in Pakistan.

“Never in the history of Pakistan has any political leader been subjected to the treatment that I am currently enduring. Nawaz Sharif committed corruption worth billions and was nevertheless granted every possible comfort in prison. In contrast, never before has the innocent and apolitical spouse of a political figure been imprisoned under such inhumane conditions as those imposed upon Bushra Bibi.

I am enduring the harshest prison term in the country’s history solely for the supremacy of the Constitution and in service of my nation. The level of oppression and authoritarianism is such that even the water I have for ablution is filthy and contaminated with dirt, unfit for any human being. Books sent to me by my family have been withheld for months. Access to television and newspapers has also been suspended. I have spent countless hours re-reading the same old books, but now even those are no longer available.

All my basic human rights have been violated. Even the minimum facilities accorded to ordinary prisoners under the law and the jail manual are denied to me. Despite repeated requests, I have not been allowed to speak to my children. Political meetings have also been restricted; I am only permitted to meet certain ‘choice individuals’, while all other interactions are barred.

I am waging a battle against a 78-year-old system, and my greatest success is that despite unprecedented oppression, the public stands firmly with me.

On February 8th (2024), the people expressed their trust in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf by voting for you even in the absence of an electoral symbol. After such a clear mandate, it is the moral and political responsibility of every party member to become the voice of the people. It will be nothing short of disgraceful and condemnable if PTI leaders waste time on internal conflicts at this critical juncture. Anyone found engaging in factionalism within the party will be expelled. I am fighting for the future of our generations, and every sacrifice I make is for that cause. To create rifts within the party at this time would be a direct betrayal of my mission and vision.

The so-called government formed through Form 47 has crippled the judiciary through the 26th Constitutional Amendment. The way biased judges are now delivering blatantly unjust verdicts under these courts is visible to the entire nation. We must launch a robust campaign to liberate the judiciary, for no nation can survive, let alone progress, without judicial independence.”

Today, my aunt, Aleema Khan, has been abducted by police in Lahore. Our family has been told nothing about where she has been taken. Her family and lawyers cannot reach her.

This is the behaviour of a fascist government - abducting people, terrorising families and trampling human rights, due process and the rule of law while pretending to stand for democracy.

First they imprisoned my father. Now they are coming after his family.

We demand immediate access to her for her family and lawyers, full disclosure of where she is being held, and her immediate release.

“Instead of going through the formality of introducing a 27th constitutional amendment through a sham parliament, it would be better to openly declare a monarchy, because what exists today is outright dictatorship, forcibly imposed on the country.

The very foundation of Pakistan was laid on La Ilaha Illallah (There is no god except Allah), a declaration that liberates mankind from all forms of slavery. Our country was freed from British rule through immense sacrifices to establish a nation where every citizen would enjoy personal liberties. But the situation is completely the opposite. A mafia seeks to keep the entire nation enslaved. I am willing to endure solitary confinement in a dark prison cell, but I will never accept slavery. And that is my message to everyone: it is better to choose imprisonment than to live in such bondage. What is the value of freedom if, outside these walls, we are not truly free? Iqbal’s Shaheen (eagle) soars high, it does not live in servitude.

I give this call to the entire nation, especially to the workers and supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf: Launch a movement after Ashura against the tyrannical system that has gripped this country. For me, death would be better than accepting a system built on slavery.

Every attempt is being made to suppress my voice so that my message does not reach the people and no one dares to stand up against oppression. But I will resist tyranny until my very last breath. I have complete faith in my Creator that this shadow of injustice will soon be lifted from Pakistan.

There are four pillars integral to any democracy: the right to vote, the rule of law, moral integrity, and a free press. The 26th Constitutional Amendment has effectively dismantled all four:

1. The Right to Vote: A dictator has no need for public mandate; he governs through force. The illegitimate assemblies formed via Forms-47, and the subsequent distribution of reserved seats, have only reinforced the perception among the people that their votes hold no value.

2. The Rule of Law: The judiciary has been reduced to a subordinate department of the government. Courts are packed with handpicked judges, while independent judges have been silenced. This is a hallmark of martial law, not democracy.

3. Moral Fabric of Society: This amendment has buried all ethical values. Individuals who are not true representatives of the people now occupy seats in the assemblies. Horse-trading of assembly members continues with impunity, and even the judiciary operates under the thumb of this mafia.

4. Free Media: Under a dictatorship, the media is bound in chains. Freedom of expression has been entirely curbed. Independent journalists are being targeted, while the rest have been bought off.

Peaceful protest is a fundamental democratic and constitutional right. Yet, 26 of our MPAs were suspended for staging a protest in the Punjab Assembly. I commend Ahmad Bhachar and all PTI MPAs who had the courage to challenge these pharaohs. Until our 26 members are reinstated, our elected representatives should hold their own assembly outside. The Form-47-based assemblies do not represent the people, in any case.”

“We have knocked on every door, but no one has listened. I had asked for dialogue only once, and that too was conditional upon commissions to investigate the events of November 26th (2024) and May 9th (2023) being formed. It was Asim Munir who ordered the shooting of unarmed civilians on November 26th. I reiterate there is no longer any room for dialogue because this group has completely hijacked the entire system.

I have instructed Barrister Gohar, Salman Akram Raja, Ali Amin Gandapur, and Junaid Akbar to ensure the protest movement runs with full force. The objective of this movement must be the restoration of justice, the supremacy of law, and the protection of the Constitution. If we fail to raise our voices in the streets, this group of oppressors will gradually finish off our parliamentary party as well. I am standing firm; all of you must also stand firm.

Eighty percent of the people of Pakistan stand with me and we are entitled to fight for our rights. I am aware that 90% of the electoral fraud took place between polling and the compilation of results. I campaigned for the implementation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for two years. If EVMs had been used on February 8th (2024), the game would have ended there and then. I still say today: if transparent elections are desired, EVMs must be introduced, and rigging will end once and for all.”

کیونکہ انہیں قید رکھنے والوں کا خیال تھا کہ عمران خان ان انتہائی سخت حالات کو برداشت نہیں کر سکیں گے جن میں انہیں رکھا گیا ہے۔ ان کا خیال تھا کہ وہ ٹوٹ جائیں گے، بالآخر پاکستان کے عوام کا ساتھ چھوڑ دیں گے اور خود کو بچانے کی کوشش کریں گے۔

لیکن وہ نہیں ٹوٹے۔

جب عمران خان نے جھکنے سے انکار کیا تو انہیں انسانی رابطے سے مکمل طور پر محروم کرکے انتہائی اذیت کا نشانہ بنایا گیا۔ صرف اپنی اہلیہ سے ہفتہ وار ملاقاتوں کی اجازت دی گئی، جو کے باقاعدگی سے نہیں تھی اور وہ خود بھی اسی جیل میں قید ہیں۔

اس کے باوجود عمران خان آج بھی ڈٹے ہوئے ہیں۔ اور چونکہ وہ انہیں توڑنے میں ناکام رہے، اس لیے اب عمران خان کی جسمانی اور ذہنی صحت کے حوالے سے جھوٹا بیانیہ اور جعلی تاثر پیدا کیا جا رہا ہے۔

18 اگست 2026 کو سپریم کورٹ نے حکم دیا کہ عمران خان کو آزادانہ طبی معائنے اور علاج کے لیے شفا انٹرنیشنل ہسپتال منتقل کیا جائے، جہاں ڈاکٹر عظمیٰ خان اور ان کے ذاتی معالج ڈاکٹر فیصل سلطان بھی موجود ہوں۔ عدالت نے اس حکم پر عمل درآمد کے لیے دو دن کی مہلت دی تھی۔ انہیں 20 اگست تک ہسپتال منتقل کیا جانا چاہیے تھا، لیکن آج تک اس حکم پر عمل درآمد نہیں کیا گیا۔

حکومت آخر کیا چھپا رہی ہے کہ وہ ایک آزادانہ طبی معائنے کی اجازت دینے کے بجائے سپریم کورٹ کے حکم کی خلاف ورزی کرنے کو تیار ہے؟

اب ہمارے پاس اس کے سوا کوئی راستہ نہیں بچا کہ ہم پُرامن طور پر سڑکوں پر نکلیں، ہمارے دو واضح مطالبات ہیں:

1. سپریم کورٹ کے 18 اگست 2026 کے حکم کی مکمل تعمیل کرتے ہوئے عمران خان کو فوری طور پر شفا انٹرنیشنل ہسپتال منتقل کیا جائے تاکہ ان کا مکمل، آزادانہ طبی معائنہ اور علاج کیا جا سکے۔

2. چیف جسٹس سرفراز ڈوگر، جو القادر کیس میں بشریٰ بی بی اور عمران خان کی ضمانت کی درخواستوں کو 22 ماہ سے زائد عرصے اور توشہ خانہ کیس میں 9 ماہ سے سماعت کے لیے مقرر کرنے میں ناکام رہے ہیں، انہیں چاہیے کہ یا انصاف فراہم کریں یا اپنے عہدے سے الگ ہو جائیں۔

Imran's sister, Aleema Khan, revealed the terrible conditions the former Prime Minister of Pakistan has been subjected to:

"In 10 months, the only outside contact Imran Khan had were the five visits: three from my sister, and two from his lawyer.

They had put him in solitary confinement, total isolation.

On the 18th of August, the Supreme Court issued a three bench order, and we were all taken by surprise because it brought a lot of hope in Pakistan that the judges are willing to defy the pressure and are willing to give justice."
