Thoughts that high school/early college me could NEVER understand (a potential thread)

Feel free to add your own
I live in Arkansas and I refuse to let Zohran Mamdani tell me how to use my thermostat.
I will be putting the temperature down to 50 degrees. My electric bill will be high but FREEDOM ISNT FREE!
“Increase the quality of the gird” do you expect him to do that magically? That’s a project that would take time dumbass, the heatwave is happening now
The communist doesn’t think to increase the quality of the grid. The communist demands that you decrease the quality of your life.
They make you ration the things that every other American gets to enjoy. Every single time.
If capitalism is so great, why do corporations need tax breaks, subsidies, exemptions, grants, ballouts, legal protections, and trade barriers to survive?
And when ordinary people ask for help, why is it suddenly called socialism?
You could have just said “I only care about myself and my comfort” and saved us a bunch of time. Many states are making this request, red and blue. So shut up with your nonsense
Actually, live your life normally, use your AC in whatever manner keeps you comfortable, and if the grid collapses make them explain why we don’t have power generation capacity sufficient to our needs as a city, and make them fix it by building more capacity.
Do not acquiesce or normalize any of this. Nothing socialists say can be taken in good faith.
They want to take away AC permanently (as they have in Europe) and they will do it first by getting you used to the idea that your AC must be turned down for ‘the greater good’, then by making it more expensive to purchase and operate through higher energy costs (also already happening), and finally by regulating it out of existence.
Just say no.
JUST IN: U.S. Department of Transportation reportedly moving to roll back an Obama-era rule requiring airlines to prominently display total ticket prices.
Astonishingly horrific take aside, can any of the main characters be considered a “hero”? Sarah had the best intentions, but she isn’t a “hero”. Everyone else is a victim (Nikki) or a villain (Bear and Ian). Also, if you try to defend Bear, you’re just objectively wrong!
The more you rewatch #Obsessionmovie, the harder it is to see Nikki as the victim.
Yes, Bear messed up with the wish, but his mistake came from a place of desperate, pathetic loneliness. Nikki’s response, on the other hand, was pure, calculated cruelty. She didn't just punish him; she took total pleasure in breaking his mind, isolating him from his friends, and driving him into a corner until he suffered that horrific, agonizing death in the bathroom.
Bear obviously regretted what he did and wanted to fix it, but Nikki completely lacked any human mercy. She used his mistake as an excuse to unleash a level of psychological torture that was way worse than the original crime. Nikki isn't the hero of this story, she's a monster who destroyed a guy who was just broken and needed help.
@Anupa2k4 The reason I say he’s a villain is because from the very beginning he’s purposefully sabotaging Bear so that he can keep hooking up with Nikki. And then yeah, he messes up the wish
