We hope you all had an egg-celent Easter! 🐣 Spring is a time for new beginnings, and we hope to continue further in our goal to enable access to low-cost negative pressure respiratory support for patients around the world 💙
@caej90@Anaes_Journal IMO positive pressure ventilation is highly unphysiological. It is pro inflammatory & generally requires an anaesthetic. Although life saving it can also convert single to multi organ failure
‘Neg pressure’ vent has potential physiological advantages....but bulky technology....
@ClaireMallinso4@Anaes_Journal@GSTTanaesthesia Great find. The @ExoventNPV team are trying to bring this back to life. Old tech but with new materials, engineering, electronics, and control systems. See https://t.co/28GTyrjihs for more details and https://t.co/MUm5foy7we for our recent study.
Please can I appeal to you to spend just 6 mins today watching this extraordinary BBC film from the Royal London?
It is everything. It’s the pain, the striving, the NHS grit, the intubated twentysomethings, the “conveyor belt of dying”.
Please watch 🙏
