@marcorus I was using @sdv_dev, and it's pretty great, but a year or so ago they switched to a commercial license (still a generous one), probably because of all the gen AI fuss and surge in start-ups and people wanting to capitalize on it. Will definitely check out this alternative.

@Ko_Ver Firing up a Spark cluster will always take 1-2 minutes. You can set the cluster to not expire immediately after a pipeline runs, and run it a second time and then indeed it should be a few seconds.

@marcorus A relative visits US in June, so I might be able to get myself a brick of the color edition if it won’t be prohibitively expensive. I wonder how much more in %% will be the color edition vs bw.

@WaterFront8 @marcorus The green one is already a second edition (of a purple one if I remember well). The blue one is a completely different book, but also mostly on DAX. It won’t teach DAX from scratch as the green one, but will be mostly about performance optimization and tuning.
