@AlexanderButl3r Schlock being connected to the lyric change is something I agree with. It lacks creativity leaving the hard work for the original creator, not the cover artist
@madison_feltham I also agree with your cultural theft point. Covers are a regular practice and I believe schlock rock only “dumbed” down the essence of the songs, not necessarily stealing its culture.
@CassandraCareen I definitely agree that the emotion displayed grabs my attention when listening. It is amazing to listen to a song and know there is pure meaning behind it.
@chboland1 I agree with the vulnerability side of breaking voice. An interesting take as well that it showcases the pure emotion he is feeling while singing.
@awarfordmun I definitely have seen this connection between AirPods and status, hearing many people speak on how it aims for a higher class. I personally don’t prefer AirPods, but it is due to the style not it’s class stigma.
@Tyrell_Tapper Totally agree. There is also always the big debate between Apple and Spotify users, both holding certain stereotypes depending on your choice.
@CDRSquires This need to fit in is definitely something I have observed in our culture. When your friends are listening to specific songs you feel the need to make yourself listen so you can be included
@Rpomeroy13 Artists emphasizing their belongings is definitely something I to have noticed in popular music! I can also see how not all are “dumbed down” there are definitely songs out there that are beautifully made, and the ones that may be definitively still reach a good audience!
