@LizzieluGreen @JuncturaTheorum Depending on the appearance of the fracture I'd probably offer a splint for comfort. Likely an ace wrap has no benefit, but also there's really no need for any big intervention here. Zero immediate treatment except for weight bearing as tolerated and pain control.
@LizzieluGreen @JuncturaTheorum I can't imagine that, unless there was neurovascular injury or an open fracture, that an orthopedist would come to the ED to see a fibula fracture.
Very uncommon to have much done for isolated fibula fractures, in my understanding.
I let parents dress their babies and toddlers after my physical exam because "I don't have any of these at home."
They're going to redo it anyway, let's cut out the middle man.
