@CassHT Probably won't help your case, but my first job had the Friday and Monday of Glastonbury as occasional days because so many of the staff historically went every year, they ended up changing the calendar ๐
Pls share. Thurs 31 Mar is energy #MeterReadingDay
So firms can't assign some of your current usage to April when rates are c54% higher
- Not smart meter? Send a reading (later in the day the better)
- Smart or prepay meter? Just take a meter pic for safety (in case of dispute)
@MissKhan__ We're currently just finishing a 2 week unit on the NASA moon landing and the conspiracy theories behind it. Kids absolutely loving seeing the other side of something so phenomenal!
If your mission was to make it impossible for kids to become readers, you could hardly do better. Destroy the public library system, starve schools of funds & support, and force primary school children to learn about fronted adverbials instead of reading for pleasure. #literacy
@MissEYear5 @HiveYear5 @_Reading_Rocks_@reading_realm Enough to be intriguing but doesn't step over the line ๐๐ป a really good balance and a story that kept even my non-readers hooked!!
If kids are reading for pleasure, they don't need to catch up... THEY'RE ALREADY AHEAD! Reading for pleasure has the biggest positive impact of any factor on children's life chances. So please: encourage them to read books they really want to read, and #literacy will follow!
@MrsECB@_MissieBee@MrBoothY6@VikWalters01 @CllWolves @MrEFinch@MissKhan__@bbcTeaching@smithsmm We wrote newspaper reports on Carter discovering the tomb which was great fun to act out and research. Mummification process and riddles/clues for points of interest also were engaging throughout the topic. Enjoy - I loved every minute teaching Egyptians!
Having no internet because someone fried the mast and signal box is really destroying the whole positive WFH vibes... Add into the mix entertaining a 1yr old and I think this week will be a billion hours longer than usual ๐ฉ
@UhmitsMissB 2D shape properties, symmetry, identifying angles and moving on to translation/reflection on grids. At least that's the plan for now... ๐ค๐ป We've realised very very slow, little steps are probably needed!
@MrHtheteacher My husband used to have milk jelly when he was a kid - half milk/half water with jelly mix... Never heard of it before I met him. Definitely think it's weird!
