@JeanneM222 This is true, many districts went from shared technology throughout schools to 1:1 in a few months. Now technology seems to be the basis of education and the way we deliver instruction. How do we combat the transition back into the classroom.

Ed tech has the potential to benefit students all over the world. As teachers, staying educated about tools and resources that are available will ensure that students are adequately equipped to enter the digital world and navigate it responsibly and successfully.

@ali_kamper This is an important consideration. There is definitely a fine line as you want it to be a fun and engaging experience, but the key is to make sure it will help students achieve the learning goal.
@ColleenHacker4 @emauro25 Both! I love using it for processional use and as a graduate student. My class loved using it for projects so I always had an option for students to use canva to demonstrate understanding of a unit or concept.

My favorite ed tech tool to use and to introduce to my students is Canva. There are so many different ways to display information in fun and engaging formats. It gives students voice and choice in what they are creating and can be used across the content areas.

I feel that teachers have an obligation to research and practice using an ed tech tool prior to implementing it in the classroom to ensure that it is safe for student use, and that it is used with purpose to enhance the learning experiences of your students.

@peetzx3 I did Canva as my favorite too! Such a versatile tool that can be used for so many different things. The kids love it and it allows them to express their creativity in their work.
My name is Rileigh Heller, I am a fifth grade teacher in Elkhorn . Integrating new technology into the classroom can be intimidating as a new teacher. As I get more comfortable and knowledgeable about technology that is out there, I am warming up to the idea more.

@Miss_Olsen_ I love that you mention technology being an outlet for differentiation that allows students to work at their own pace. The activities we expose students too digitally can also lend towards differentiation for kids.

To me, ed tech can be defined as any online tool or application that enhances students' learning experiences and fosters new learning opportunities.

@Charlie75303313 How cool! I have family in Atlanta. Even cooler that teachers from across the country can connect and share ideas with each other via twitter!
@HurtzTracie This is so true! Thank goodness for the people in your role, testing season is so intimidating as a new teacher! Thank you for all you do!
