Without inputting my views, I wanted to share this article because I find it very interesting to see the number of fingers being pointed throughout the USA around online censorship. Seems to be very prevalent in their country. #unboundeq

@__MissMia This a terrifying issue for those being targeted, but as well for people being discouraged from using COVID-19 safe procedures. This not only puts everyone's private information at risk but makes the public weary of COVID health apps, further adding to the spread. #unboundeq

Hm, these numbers of error are significantly large for this to be something that can go unnoticed. Whether this is intentional or not, this is an incredibly ignorant issue that contributes to a lack of progression.

I truly believe a healthy debate and conversation over different topics is important, and sharing this is a part of being in a social media community, but it is increasingly difficult to converse with those who are receiving/sharing misinformation. #unboundeq

@KeanaAquino3 I want to hope that a majority of these instances are coincidences and unintentional, but this type of racial bias shows that it is incredibly transparent. Whether the "creators" of these algorithms are doing so intentionally or not, their ignorance is a root problem. #unboundeq

Sometimes I reflect on how open my life is to the internet and I consider whether or not this puts me at more risk than if I was more private. After watching this video, even as a privileged citizen of society, I am definitely more weary. What do you think? #unboundeq

How is it possible that they are going to minimize that process even further with technological replacements? Bad idea! #unboundeq

@bonstewart A2: ICE working with the same company/technology that runs COVID-19 contact tracing in the USA is probably one of the scariest things I've heard. Not only does this sound incredibly intentional, but clearly outlines the out of order priorities of our neighbours. #unboundeq

Not only as an ally but as a human being, it is terrifying to consider that businesses are working with institutions like ICE that have such a high disregard for human life. Like Dr. Benjamin said, how can I trust that companies aren't prioritizing money over decency? #unboundeq

Listening to Dr. Benjamin speak to the innovative nature of racism is quite frightening to hear and has shown me the truly large inequalities within a majority of tech sectors. It makes me question what other algorithms would I see racism in if I wasn't a white woman? #unboundeq
