Not bad for my first root tip mitosis slide in a long time. There are so many different methods. I wonder how can I get better resolution photos. I adapted a microspe camera to our best microscope. I need to learn more about #microscopy. @chatbiology

As a student teacher, having worked as a senior tech has helped me a lot. Knowing how to talk to the tech team in a timely and detailed manner, valuing them and their time is something they don't teach you in the course. As a result my students get biology practicals that work!

@ScietechSmith If you think they are too heavy, use a siphon to empty them. There are some videos that show different siphon techniques.

Decay required practical trial. It's time to do my least favourite task: annual chemical stocktake. At least I had a good reason to procrastinate today... after all, enzymes must be trialled every single time. 5ml milk + 5ml 0.05M Na2CO3 + 1ml 5% lipase at ~35°C results in ~2min.
