Delighted to share that I’ve passed the NPQSL. Grateful to the tutors at Ambition Institute for their guidance and excellent training sessions. Truly impactful. #NPQSL@Ambition_Inst

Humbled and overwhelmed by the love and appreciation shown by my Year 11s. For any doubters, we really do make a difference. Invest in PD, show passion for your subject and always be reflective. My go to experts @Doug_Lemov@teacherhead@pauldixtweets#teachers
@missburtenshaw_ Congratulations… it might not always feel like it, but it’s a very rewarding profession. I’m 20 years in, and I still love doing what I do…
This is fantastic news and real step in the right direction. 2-markers will be a game changer for our low attaining pupils. #history#historyteacher@pearson
Thank you to @StepUpNet_Ed@TeachingYear6 and @MrBHobbis for organising such a fantastic event yesterday. From the calibre of guest speakers to the key themes around leadership, it was a perfect way to spend a Saturday on CPD. Walked away feeling very inspired and motivated!
Let’s celebrate the pioneering black women in the history of education. For me, it has to be Lavinya Stennett. She founded the Black Curriculum initiative to address the lack of Black British History in the UK educational curriculum. Game changer! #BlackHistoryMonth#WomenEd
@JCooperHistory We trialed this last year and it worked well. We focused on knowledge recall using a range of low stake activities such as quizzes, odd one out, true or false, fill in the gap etc. It allowed us to provide instant feedback and build some competition by working against the clock.
We took our Year 11s to Thackray Museum this week. Our pupils got to see first hand how medicine changed over time. A great way to engage pupils in the GCSE Medicine scheme of work. Highly recommend. #historyteacher@thackraymuseum
@MissAThomas@MsGHist 100% Biggest takeaway for me this year! It’s all about the art of writing at GCSE History. Knowledge is important but without the skill caps pupils at level 2.
