💙OFFICER DOWN💙
A San Antonio Police Department officer was shot Tuesday evening while officers were serving a warrant on the North Side.
The suspect pulled a gun as officers approached. The officer was struck once, and officers returned fire. The officer was transported to the hospital, and early reports indicate the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
TMPA stands with this officer, their family, and every member of the San Antonio Police Department. This is another reminder of how quickly the job can turn dangerous for the men and women who serve Texas.

Every Big 12 AD but Texas Tech's Kirby Hocutt believes Brendan Sorsby shouldn't play. That was communicated today on the call
There are plenty of ideas to convince/pressure Tech to cut Sorsby loose, but Ads believe it's common sense: He bet on his sport; Tech shouldn't play him
Cody is 100% right here. This really isn't a Texas Tech issue, per se. School A is fighting for Player B, as it absolutely should. This is a system broken beyond repair.
BREAKING: New reporting reveals Republicans in Texas are panicking because Ken Paxton is rapidly losing support amongst must-win Latino voters who are pivoting to James Talarico’s side. This is amazing.
THE WORKERS’ COMP SYSTEM IS BROKEN.
Injured officers should not have to fight delays, denials, and excuses just to receive the care their doctor recommends.
Mitch Landry said it best:
“When an officer is injured serving the public, the system should move with urgency, not excuses.”

SHOT FOUR TIMES.
Then failed by workers’ comp.
Wood County Sgt. Jaclyn Skinner survived the gunfire, but her fight did not end there.
Denied referrals. Delayed care. Needed medical equipment withheld.
That should outrage every Texan.
TMPA stood with Sgt. Skinner at the State Capitol as she testified about the broken system injured officers are being forced to fight.
Thankfully, Chairman Cole Hefner and other committee members made it clear this issue deserves serious attention.
Sgt. Skinner deserves better.
Every injured officer deserves better.

That should outrage every Texan.
Thankfully, Chairman @ColeHefnerTX and other committee members made it clear today that this broken system deserves serious attention.
TMPA will keep fighting until injured officers get the care they earned.
Sgt. Skinner deserves better. Every injured officer deserves better.

Very humbled that respected pastors and faith leaders Dr. Steve Riggle, David Barton, Scott Sanford, Dr. Rick Scarborough and Rev. Ramiro Pena signed this letter to fellow pastors around the state endorsing me for Attorney General. These men know I will stand boldly and unapologetically for our Christian values.
Thanks, Governor Perry. Well said.
Ken is now apparently saying he had nothing to do with the case … that he didn’t personally handle it and that we should blame it on his line prosecutors.
I call BS.
A leader who eagerly takes credit for the wins of the team but blames the losses on his teammates is no leader at all.

I’m proud to announce my campaign for Texas Attorney General. There’s only one Texas, and I’ve devoted my life to defending it. As your next Attorney General, I will work to ensure Texas is the greatest and safest state to live and raise a family.
Incredible article based on a careful review of the trial records, transcripts and interviews with key individuals.
Not only is the Attorney General and his office egregiously blaming the victim. They have actually lied to the public and to policy makers about the case itself.
Damning and disqualifying. Texans — especially victims and survivors — are right to be outraged and Ken owes us all an explanation.

🚨 INNOCENT PEOPLE WERE SHOT 🚨
Law enforcement still got the suspects.
But because proven crime-fighting technology was not available due to politics, officers were forced to search without a tool that could have helped identify violent suspects faster.
That should outrage every Texan.
Public safety should never be sacrificed for political agendas.
