THE WORKERS’ COMP SYSTEM IS BROKEN.
Injured officers should not have to fight delays, denials, and excuses just to receive the care their doctor recommends.
Mitch Landry said it best:
“When an officer is injured serving the public, the system should move with urgency, not excuses.”

SHOT FOUR TIMES.
Then failed by workers’ comp.
Wood County Sgt. Jaclyn Skinner survived the gunfire, but her fight did not end there.
Denied referrals. Delayed care. Needed medical equipment withheld.
That should outrage every Texan.
TMPA stood with Sgt. Skinner at the State Capitol as she testified about the broken system injured officers are being forced to fight.
Thankfully, Chairman Cole Hefner and other committee members made it clear this issue deserves serious attention.
Sgt. Skinner deserves better.
Every injured officer deserves better.

SHOT FOUR TIMES… THEN FAILED BY WORKERS’ COMP.
Today, TMPA testified at the State Capitol alongside Wood County, TX Sheriff's Office Sgt. Jaclyn Skinner, who was shot four times while serving an arrest warrant.
Her fight did not end when the gunfire stopped.
Denied referrals. Delayed care. Needed medical equipment withheld.
That should outrage every Texan.
Thankfully, Chairman @ColeHefnerTX and other committee members made it clear today that this broken system deserves serious attention.
TMPA will keep fighting until injured officers get the care they earned.
Sgt. Skinner deserves better. Every injured officer deserves better.

Today, TMPA pauses to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
Their sacrifice is the reason we live free.
We remember them. We honor them. We will never forget.

🚨 INNOCENT PEOPLE WERE SHOT 🚨
Law enforcement still got the suspects.
But because proven crime-fighting technology was not available due to politics, officers were forced to search without a tool that could have helped identify violent suspects faster.
That should outrage every Texan.
Public safety should never be sacrificed for political agendas.

🚨 POWERFUL WORDS FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT 🚨
“We stopped handcuffing the police, and started handcuffing more violent criminals.”
Thank you, Vice President @JDVance, for standing with law enforcement and saying what officers across America needed to hear.
Support our officers.
Honor the fallen.
Hold violent criminals accountable.

DPS is proud to assist our local, state and federal law enforcement partners in taking violent fugitives, like Lang, off our streets.
By working together, we’re making Texas communities safer and holding dangerous criminals accountable. #ProtectAndServe#Fugitive#Arrest
Today, we pause to honor the peace officers who gave everything.
Behind every name is a family, a department, and a sacrifice that can never be repaid.
TMPA stands with the fallen, their families, and every officer who continues the watch.

Tonight, at the Annual Candlelight Vigil at our Nation’s Capitol, TMPA Executive Director Kevin Lawrence had the solemn honor of reading the names of Texas officers added to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Wall.
Each name represents a hero. A family forever changed. A department forever impacted. A sacrifice Texas will never forget.
Relentless Defender founder Aaron Slater also helped honor the remaining Texas officers whose names now stand on that sacred wall.
This is more than a ceremony. It is a powerful reminder that behind every name is a life of service, courage, and sacrifice.
TMPA stands with their families, their agencies, and every officer carrying the weight of the badge in their honor.
We will remember them.
We will honor them.
We will never forget them.

11 YEARS AGO, TERROR CAME TO TEXAS.
Texas Law Enforcement sent it home in a body bag.
Two ISIS terrorists attempted to carry out an attack at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, but they ran into something they clearly did not understand:
Texas Law Enforcement.
@GarlandPD took care of business, ended the threat, and protected innocent lives. Quickly. Decisively. Exactly how it should have ended.
TMPA was there then, and we stand proud now with the brave men and women who answered evil with courage.
Don’t mess with Texas.

😱 This one is hard to believe…
A man came out of the woods in a San Antonio park… and attacked a mother before biting a 3-year-old child in the face.
The mom said it felt like something out of a horror movie.
This is what officers are walking into.
Unpredictable. Violent. No warning.

🚨SPRING BOARD MEETING🚨
18 Texas full-time peace officers.
Still serving. Still holding the line.
This weekend, they step into leadership—driven by one mission: protect the voice of Texas law enforcement and fight for those who wear the badge.
This isn’t just a meeting.
It’s commitment. It’s sacrifice. It’s the mission.
