@TPrincato On the other hand, ~20% of Palestinians Arabs who lived in what became Israel remained. Nazareth and many other Palestinian towns surrendered. 13,000 Druze all remained. In Haifa, Jaffa, and Acre combined over ten thousand didn't flee during fighting & ultimately became citizens.
@TPrincato The difference is that 100% of Jews were expelled from these cities. The Jordanians, fighting alongside the local Palestinian Arabs directly expelled the Jews of E. Jerusalem and butchered the Jews of Kfar Etzion, expelling the rest of Gush Etzion. The British "evacuated" Hebron.
@TPrincato@Agamemnonuwa Even if you claim Palestinians had absolutely nothing to do with the invading Arab armies (lol), Palestinians directly kicked out the Jews of East Jerusalem and Hebron and moved into their homes.
@blondsicilian@Agamemnonuwa The image is literally explicitly talking about population genetics. Croats objectively, unambiguously "resemble" (in distance) Swedes more than Greeks.
@ShahirBakhtiar@NationOfEldia @holly___xxx___ He isn't Arab, he's Jewish. Even if you try to erase his Jewishness, he's of Aramaic speaking Jewish descent. Even if you claim Aramaic speakers are Arabs, Ben Gvir didn't serve in the army. Even if he had served in the army, this claim is about Muslims and Christians.
Idiot.
@ibrahimibnyusuf@twicedouble2@History__Speaks That’s *ostensibly* the case for Oujda, where 3-5 Jews were murdered.
In Jerada, where ~37 were massacred, the Jews were local shopkeepers and were not immigrating.
@manateeVdugong@twicedouble2@History__Speaks Can you explain why the immigration from Iran is relevant, when Jews there weren’t being persecuted and the country wasn’t involved in the 1948 war?
It’s a disingenuous way of making it seem like there wasn’t a population exchange between Israel and the Arab states.
@weliveinhell_@caitoz@GlobalPOVs Yes. This literally happened in El Fasher a few months prior and there’s an equal amount of “confirmation”, in a country with similarly tampered internet access and authoritarian censorship.
As far as I’m concerned it’s utterly idiotic, dangerous, and gross to still be doing metzitzah b’peh even within Jewish law in an age where it has the capacity for medical harm (pikuach nefesh), is a libel re: pedophilia (marit ayin, sort of) and is simply medically unnecessary.
