@WhiteBoardFin My wife and I have been called DINKs - unbeknownst to them that we've struggled to have kids. Pretty mean but I know they are just jealous. But we're expecting a baby girl in April! Thanks for posting this ❤
What is the "advantage" of Medicare Advantage insurance plans? @CMSGov@MedicareGov
I only see delays in care, uncovered services, denials for coverage, deterrents for clinical trials, increased out of pocket pay for patients.
All too true...
Quick tip: avoid Medicare advantage plans for this reason. Medicare+ a supplemental plan is the way to go as prior authorization is much much easier, avoiding delays.

@joshuapalmermd@aiims2738@ASTRO_org Thank you for doing this work! I have been waiting for someone to do a follow-up study from the paper published in Cancer - great idea!

"The reality is, insurance companies are businesses, and businesses are built for profit, not patient care. Moreover, they've been weaponizing our medical journals, using isolated pieces of data to deny RT." https://t.co/GJKd9WMUBc
@ParikhSimul @KHigginsMD@NRGOncology@JeffBradleyMD I'm sure it's one of these myths that we will forever have to deal with but I still have to play by their rules...
Unfortunate that the New York Times would describe radiation as “brutal”, reductive even for a headline
As a medical oncologist who largely prescribes chemo history will judge us for indiscriminate toxicity
But radiation oncologists are among the most precise doctors I know
@BreastDocUK The point is, the chemotherapy in the study @nytimes was discussing is just as or more "brutal." It was clearly biased and sensationalist journalism.
