The United States of America has invested hundreds of millions of dollars to fight Alshabab and stabilize the HoA region. Stable Somalia, in collaboration with international donors, should help safeguard the 20% of world commerce passing through the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf. And this is only possible within the framework of respecting Somalia's sovereignty.

Unfortunately, Prime Minister Abiy, not the descent people of Ethiopia, a large number of them stand with Somalis, seems to undercut this world wide common front. He also worked against US policy towards the HoA; he joined BRICS for no economic benefits to Ethiopia; he violated human rights, and he became an autocrat. Still he thinks he will enjoy subsidy from US tax payers. That should not happen!

Simply put, he has been a naughty headache and instigated ntional regional, and global fiasco. How to advise him is the million dollar question. One can be certain he will not listen to the US or any foreign power. Ethiopians alone are in a position to stop him; they must do it collectively.
