ఉదయం 5:00 గంటలు..
ఎదురుగా ఒక సిగ్నల్ వస్తుంది.. ట్రాఫిక్ అసలు లేనట్టే.. రెడ్ లైట్ ఉన్నా బళ్లు అన్నీ దాన్ని దాటేస్తున్నాయి.. అప్పుడే ఒక బీఎండబల్యూ కూడా దాటేసింది… వెనక వస్తున్న నాకు ఆగాలా వద్దా అని ఆలోచిస్తూనే ఆగిపోయాను. సరే మనం ఆగాం కదా ఇంకా ఎవరైనా ఆగుతారో లేదో చూద్దాం అని గమనిస్తున్నాను.. వెంటనే ఒకపక్క ట్రక్కు, మరోపక్క ట్రాక్టర్ వచ్చి ఆగాయి.. ఆ పక్కనే మరికొన్ని 2 వీలర్స్ కూడా.. ఒక్క క్షణం అనిపించింది నేను ఆగకపోయుంటే అవి ఆగేవి కాదేమో అని.. ముందు వెళ్ళిన వాటిని, అన్నివైపులా సిగ్నల్ అతిక్రమిస్తున్న తీరు చూసి వేసిన అంచనా..
ఇంకా తెరచి చూస్తే.. “నేనే ఎందుకు రూల్స్ పాటించాలి? అంతమంది అతిక్రమించి వెళ్తుంటే” అని అనుకోకూడదేమో… ఒక మెట్టు మొక్కితే, వెనకాల పందిమంది అదేమెట్టుని మొక్కుతారు.. చుట్టూ చూసి అలవర్చుకునే అలవాటు ఉన్న సమాజం మనది.
మనల్ని చూసి ప్రయత్నంగానో, అప్రయత్నంగానో ఎంతోకొంతమంది గమనిస్తారు, అనుసరిస్తారని.

ఇది నాగురించి కాదు.. హితబోధ అసలేకాదు.. రోజూ ఎదురయ్యే యక్ష ప్రశ్నల్లో ఒకటో అరో వాటికి సమాధానం దొరకబుచ్చుకునే ప్రయత్నం.

అసలు ట్రాఫిక్ లేని సమయాల్లో రెడ్ లైట్స్ వాడాలా అనేది మరో చర్చ.

Two Telugu men who saved India during crisis.

When PV Narasimha Rao became PM in 1991, India faced severe Balance of Payments crisis, foreign exchange reserves could barely cover two weeks of imports.

It was during this time PVNR took bold steps, in liberalization, slashing import tariffs, encouraging exports. When he left office in 1996, India was far more stable.

The other was former RBI Governor YV Reddy, whose conservative approach, ensured Indian banking survived the 2008 sub prime crisis, that wrecked the banking sector in US and West.

He prevented Indian banks from investing heavily in complex derivatives, subprime assets, due to which they escaped the fate of major US banks.

Also ensured stricter norms for lending, discouraged excessive credit growth.

These two men, did not make a big show of whatever they done, did their job quitely, no PR, no hype, no chest thumping. Just a solid grounded approach, rooted in what they believed was the best for India.

True leadership is what these men displayed in a hour of crisis. India should be forever grateful to these two men.

అదంతా ఒక చిన్న దోమతో మొదలైంది. ఒక సాయంత్రం, పరమహంస యోగానంద తన గురువు పక్కన కూర్చుని ఉండగా, అకస్మాత్తుగా ఒక దోమ ఆయన తొడను కుట్టింది. సహజంగానే, ఆయన దాన్ని చంపడానికి తన చేతిని పైకి ఎత్తారు, కానీ కొట్టబోయే ముందు, ఆయన అహింసను గుర్తుకు తెచ్చుకుని, వెంటనే తమ చేతిని ఆపుకున్నారు. ఇది గమనించిన శ్రీ యుక్తేశ్వర్ బాబా “పనిని ఎందుకు పూర్తి చేయలేదు అని అడిగారు”.

లేదు, కానీ నీ మనసులో అప్పటికే చావుదెబ్బ పడింది, ఆ తర్వాతే చేయి లేసింది. నిజమైన అహింస అంటే హాని చేయాలనే కోరికను తొలగించడం, కేవలం చేతిని నిగ్రహించుకోవడం కాదు. నిజమైన ఆధ్యాత్మికత కేవలం మన చేతలను నియంత్రించుకోవడం గురించి కాదు, వాటి వెనుక ఉన్న ఉద్దేశాలను మార్చుకోవడం గురించి కూడా”.
