SEVERE CONDITION CRITERIA
The Green Paper is diminished, but please lobby against the ‘severe condition criteria’—a hugely dangerous and discriminatory change to UC health rules that would drastically increase new claimants’ financial and psychological precarity.
#TakingThePIP
@LukePollard Add: Caused a huge pile on of hate to #disabled people by deliberately conflating them with workshy, having ministers with zero understanding how PIP works, not consulting ♿️ groups & trying to drive thru an awful mess of a bill! #TakingThePIP
@kevinbonavia
Have you stood proudly with any disability charities recently?
How are you voting on the welfare bill?
Will you sign the reasoned amendment?
Also;
Did you have a nice holiday in Israel from Friends of Israel Lobby?
#takingthepip
@AngelaRayner As a disabled man who relies on PIP to survive, I can honestly say you nor Labour are on my side. You are a shame for these hideous cuts that don't even consult us. It's criminal!
@owenjonesjourno Yeah, Labour doing TikToks comparing PIP to children's pocket money and having Torsten Bell talking down to people will go super well for Labour. /s
The cuts to disabled people's support will push 250,000 people – including 50,000 children – into poverty, according to the Government's own analysis.
I have some of the poorest wards in the country within my constituency.
I cannot support that.
And so on behalf of my constituents, I will vote against these cuts when they come to Parliament.
‘There are people avoiding tax. They cost the country even more!’
‘All we hear about is cutting benefits from the disabled’.
Matthew Wright pushes back against Labour supporter Keith’s insinuation that welfare recipients are gaming the system.
@Anniepop2027@MatthewStadlen No, sorry Anne. I have read it. So have lots of charities, disabled people's groups etc and what Labour are doing is to make it very hard indeed to get PIP - it is hard enough as it is without these changes. Please, have a look at what Scope, MIND etc are saying about this
@Anniepop2027@MatthewStadlen Are you saying you get the 4 by adding 2 + 2? Well that was the case BUT Labour's new proposals are that you need the 4 in any one section. Not that it adds up to 4 but it is a 4! So if 1 got 2+2 as you say - they would be refused it - they have to get a 4 point not adding up 2 4
@ahddrv Will, and have already. The impact is happening NOW.
My own suicidal thoughts came back this last week, as that seems to be the only logical conclusion.
I won't be the only one. And for some, it's already too late.
@SEDSConnective Interesting these have male bias, and fms seemed to have been predominately 'a female thing' when I got diagnosed fms.
Perhaps us girls holding the adhd /autism/hms stress in, results in or significant towards FMS / Fatigue disorder?
@DiaryofaSickGrl Rip that shit open with yiur bare hands like the animals god made you. Cardboard boxes glued up are the devil's work to hms finger strength and adhd brain.
It's all or nothing baby.
