The single most important trait for life: Adaptability.
Charles Darwin is paraphrased as saying:
"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent. It is the one most adaptable to change."
In Greek mythology, the Hydra is a creature that has multiple heads. When one is cut off, two grow back in its place.
The best are never broken by the chaos—they train themselves to be prepared for it, to benefit from it.
Life is chaotic. The only constant is change.
If you can embrace that discomfort, you'll win.
As Mike Tyson famously said:
"Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."
You'll only go as far as your ability to absorb life's punches and pivot on the fly.
Do hard things.
Place yourself into more uncomfortable situations.
Adapt and win.
Most of your problems are not actually problems. They are discomforts.
Discomfort is not the problem—on the contrary, it’s usually the cost of the solution.
Today is my 40th birthday. Here are all the things that I know at 40 which I wish I knew at 20.
Starting with…
1. Your relationship with others is a direct reflection of your relationship with yourself. If you treat yourself poorly, then you will unconsciously seek out and tolerate others who treat you poorly. If you treat yourself with dignity and respect, then you will only tolerate others who treat you with dignity and respect.
Get right with yourself. Get right with the world.
A record 80% of stocks held by Americans are now held by those over the age of 55.
Since 2009, this share has increased by more than 15%.
Those who are age 70 or older account for a whopping 40% of equity holdings.
As affordability hits record lows, young Americans are unable to save money.
Buying a home has become a luxury and investing in your future has become difficult.
Something needs to change.
I told you a few days ago that @HatomProtocol would soon launch its stablecoin, $USH, the first native stablecoin in the #MultiversX ecosystem.
What were some of the reactions?
"Oh, it will end up just like $UST."
"If it's not backed by fiat, it's useless."
Now, before we delve deeper into $USH, let's explore the broader stablecoin landscape and become more familiar with each type.
As a quick note, the total market cap of all stablecoins in the crypto space is a staggering $124 billion, with fiat-backed stablecoins like $USDT and $USDC dominating the scene.
A recent study made by Bernstein, a wealth management company, predicted that the stablecoin market cap will soar to almost 3 trillion dollars in the next five years; that's a lot of growth.
While the purpose of stablecoins is to maintain a stable value even during volatility periods, it doesn't mean that all of them are using the same mechanisms to maintain their peg.
In today's market, there are four main types of stablecoins:
💵 Fiat-collateralized
🪙 Crypto-collateralized
🛢️ Commodity-collateralized
🤖 Algorithmic
Let's briefly discuss every single one of them and understand how they actually work.
1️⃣. Fiat-collateralized💵
These are the most widely recognized and utilized stablecoins in the space. This category includes tokens such as $USDC, $USDT, and $BUSD.
These tokens are backed by fiat currency, which is stored off-chain in various bank vaults or with different financial institutions. For every dollar represented on-chain, there must be an equivalent dollar value stored off-chain.
Companies like Circle (responsible for $USDC) and Tether ($USDT) undergo regular audits. As users, we rely on the integrity of these audits, trusting that the auditors are honest and thorough in ensuring that the off-chain reserves match the on-chain representations.
But being backed by fiat doesn't make you unbeatable. Remember back in March when $USDC deppeged all the way down to around 0.8$? This happened due to the fact that Circle, announced that they had a considerable amount of $USDC held in Silicon Valey Bank which collapsed.
Furthermore, earlier this year, Paxos, the entity behind $BUSD, had to halt the issuance of their stablecoin due to regulatory challenges.
2️⃣. Crypto-collateralized🪙
Crypto-backed stablecoins are over-collateralized by other cryptocurrencies and the most prominent example in this category is $DAI, which is maintained by the MakerDAO system.
For every DAI token, there's more than one dollar's worth of Ethereum or other assets locked up as collateral in a smart contract.
This ensures that even if the value of the collateral drops, the stablecoin remains stable. However, if the collateral's value drops too much, the system might liquidate assets to ensure the stablecoin's stability.
This is the category that $USH will fall under as it will require the user to deposit more funds in the smart contract in order to mint the stablecoin. It comes with liquidation risk, but this is a must in order to avoid a deppeg.
Crypto-backed stablecoins are also maintaining their peg through arbitrage; this is possible due to the architecture of the system where 1 $USH will always be redeemed for 1$ on @HatomProtocol.
3️⃣. Commodity-collateralized🛢️
These stablecoins are backed by tangible assets like gold or real estate.
Each token represents a specific amount of the commodity, stored in a physical location. PAX Gold ( $PAXG ) is an example where each token is backed by one fine troy ounce of gold. The advantage here is the intrinsic value of the commodity, but the challenge lies in ensuring the physical asset's security and regular audits.
$USDR from @tangibleDAO is a new stablecoin backed by real estate and it looks to have a quite interesting design.
🤖 Algorithmic
Algorithmic stablecoins are not backed by any collateral. Instead, they use algorithms and smart contracts to automatically adjust the stablecoin's supply based on its demand, aiming to keep its price stable.
While they offer a decentralized approach, they can be more volatile and complex compared to other types of stablecoins.
This is the category of Terra USD ( $UST ), so let's explain what happened.
Terra used a two-token model to maintain the stability of its stablecoin, UST.
The two tokens are UST, which is pegged to the US dollar, and LUNA, which was used to stabilize the price of UST.
Here's how it works:
When UST is above $1: If the price of UST goes above $1, the system mints and sells more UST to bring the price down. This increases the supply of UST, which should lower the price back to $1.
When UST is below $1: If the price of UST falls below $1, the system allows LUNA holders to buy UST for $1 worth of LUNA. This effectively burns UST and reduces its supply, which should increase the price back to $1.
When the depegging of UST occurred, users had a few options to exit their position.
They could use Terra's burn-and-mint mechanism, where LUNA could be exchanged for UST, and the stablecoin would be burned. However, this eventually led to the dilution of the LUNA token.
What then happened was that UST's market cap became larger than LUNA's market cap, and there was no possibility for LUNA to absorb all the pressure from UST, thereby creating a death spiral.
As you can see, the main difference between $USH and $UST is that one is over-collateralized ( $USH ) and one is under-collateralized ( $UST ).
Will get deeper into the two main differences between the two in the next posts, but for now I think you should have a rough idea about the differences between all these types of stablecoins.
Not everything works the same, even if for you it seems like. 😉
This mindset is the key to success:
In 2002, Charlie Rose interviewed Will Smith on his television show.
During the interview, he tells a story from his childhood about his father asking him and his little brother to rebuild a 16x30 wall on the front of his shop.
The task was understandably daunting for the two boys:
"I remember standing back looking at that wall saying, there's gonna be a hole here, forever."
But a year and a half of daily work later, they completed the wall.
Reflecting on the experience, Will Smith offered a piece of timeless wisdom:
"You don't try to build a wall...You don’t start by saying, I’m going to build the biggest, baddest wall that’s ever been built. You say, I’m going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid...you do that every single day, and soon you have a wall."
This is a powerful reminder for life:
No matter how big the task or project may seem at the start, you just have to lay one brick.
The wall may be daunting, but today's brick is all that matters.
Extraordinary results are simply the macro result of tens, hundreds, or thousands of tiny daily actions.
Remember: Small things become big things.
So today and all days, let's lay one brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid...

After 3 decades of listening to his doctors, my father ended up with diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
After 3 years of listening to his son, my father ended up 40lbs lighter and cancer-free.
Here are 39 health secrets his doctors forgot to tell him:
1. Stop doing diets that have a name.
2. Carbs don't make you fat - too many calories do.
3. Your physical health and mental health are not two separate things - they are reflections of one another.
4. The only *permanent* hack to drink less alcohol is to build a life so good you no longer feel the need to escape it.
5. Working out 3-5 days/wk is more sustainable long term than 6-7 days/wk.
6. The only equipment you *need* is your body.
7. Drinking diet Coke is significantly healthier than drinking regular Coke.
8. Resistance training is far superior to cardio for fat loss.
9. The only “diet” that works is a high-protein one.
10. Eating protein before carbs is the easiest way to crave less carbs.
11. Skipping workouts to spend more time with your family shortens your time on earth with your family.
12. Self-deprecating humor is a sign that you are not mentally healthy.
13. Exercise is a documented antidepressant - use it as such.
14. Most hunger scares can be cured by drinking water.
15. Sodium is not killing you it is keeping you alive.
16. Your habits make you fat not the “fat gene”.
17. Constantly wearing running shoes weakens your feet, core, and lower back.
18. Train your back and your core 2x as much as everything else.
19. Wear blue light glasses or put your phone in “night mode” to improve your sleep quality.
20. Take cold showers or ice baths periodically to increase your stress tolerance.
21. Cardio is less about fat loss and more about strengthening your heart and mind.
22. Eating your protein first will prevent you from overeating elsewhere.
23. Nuts are not a “healthy” snack. They are high fat, high calorie, and easy to overeat.
24. Lifting weights is the most effective workout method to lower your body fat percentage and improve your health.
25. Just because something is “vegan” does not mean it’s healthy.
26. Intermittent fasting is not a magic pill. It works because you eat less food.
27. Working out is not just for looks. Your body is the temple of God and you should honor it as such.
28. Stop waiting till your next doctor's visit to weigh yourself. You can’t manage a problem you avoid confronting. Weigh yourself daily instead.
29. Having no routine on the weekends is saying your goals don’t matter 29% of the time.
30. Turn the room temperature down to 68 degrees or lower at night. We fall asleep faster in colder environments.
31. Eat slower. It gives your body time to secret Leptin, the “I’m full” hormone.
32. Find an active hobby you enjoy and participate in it regularly.
33. Stop picking up your phone as soon as you wake up. Mindless morning scrolling starts the day off with unnecessary stress. Wait 30 minutes to check your phone instead.
34. Stop sleeping on your side, it deteriorates your shoulder health over time. Sleep on your back instead.
35. Don’t drink coffee as soon as you wake up - but don’t drink coffee in the afternoon either. Both extremes mess up your hormones.
36. Men operate on a 24-hour hormone cycle. Our drive is highest in the morning. Take advantage of this and work out before your family wakes up.
37. Mindless snacking is less about hunger and more about your lack of emotional control.
38. I’ve never seen anyone keep the weight off long-term without accountability outside of themselves. Share your goals with other men.
39. Motivation is fleeting - you must establish proper default actions to actually be consistent.
GM,
Let’s get one thing straight:
You buy the dip in strength,
You sell the rip in weakness.
#Bitcoin above 27.5k daily close was in buy the dip mode, under that area it flipped to sell the rip mode.
If this post triggers you emotionally, you should probably check your bias.
P.S: I was in buy the dip mode on BTC since we moved above 21k.
Give yourself the time to go through the process to be who you want to be. The process is filled with hundreds or even thousands of disciplined boring days with little to no recognition. Then one day someone notices, then another, then hundreds, and then thousands. Keep grinding.
Working out will change your life.
• You eat better because you start to identify as a healthy person.
• You sleep better because your body is tired.
• You focus better from better sleep.
• You feel better from the endorphins you release.
One action—huge ripple effects.
