RUMOR 🚨 XBOX pórtatil NEXT-GEN Chip y Specs

Nuevos datos de The Phawx señalan que Microsoft ha financiado una variante customizada del chip Medusa Halo de AMD (Zen6C + 24 CUs RDNA5).

Frente a la PS6 Portable (16 CUs RDNA5) y la futura Steam Deck (AMD Z3 / Zen6 + RDNA4m), la apuesta de Xbox destaca por dos claves arquitectónicas:

1️⃣ Modo Portátil ("Wide & Slow"): Operar una GPU más ancha a menor frecuencia y voltaje rinde mucho mejor por vatio consumido, optimizando la batería.

2️⃣ Modo Docked: Al conectar la consola a la corriente y subir el TDP, 24 CUs RDNA5 ofrecerán un rendimiento de nivel sobremesa.

Valve habría intentado acceder al chip Canis de Sony, pero Sony no aceptó, así que tras su negativa dependerá del chip Z3 estándar de AMD. Microsoft, por su parte, pagará el coste de un silicio custom más ambicioso.

Current course for XBOX was to shutter down XBOX, no helix, maybe an OEM, dismantle it sell and move allocation of money to Ai and be done with gaming under Phil and Sarah. I had always held to “they are not releasing HW” even when Sarah committed to it in Oct 2025. The situation was futile and I had XBOX closing shop in 2028 - selling off - whatever

In Feb of this year ASHA took over this situation and even at that point it was pretty much in a bad situation. I think they looked at the situation and looked at all angles and kinda went into this not knowing where this goes.

In the last 8 months XBOX is no longer in the red, fully on course for a “family of devices” and the future is no longer futile. It’s actually much further along than I believe even XBOX expect. So XBOX was saved in 2026 and momentum is there for a future.

2027 is a year where they get back to growth and further momentum. How they go about this I don’t know but I suspect the family of devices will be a collection of handheld, repurposed Series, Helix, and OEMs globally.
