This is Hossam’s team, and we are sharing his final message :
“If you’re reading this, it means I have been killed—most likely targeted—by the Israeli occupation forces. When this all began, I was only 21 years old—a college student with dreams like anyone else. For past 18 months, I have dedicated every moment of my life to my people. I documented the horrors in northern Gaza minute by minute, determined to show the world the truth they tried to bury. I slept on pavements, in schools, in tents—anywhere I could. Each day was a battle for survival. I endured hunger for months, yet I never left my people’s side.
By God, I fulfilled my duty as a journalist. I risked everything to report the truth, and now, I am finally at rest—something I haven’t known in the past 18 months . I did all this because I believe in the Palestinian cause. I believe this land is ours, and it has been the highest honor of my life to die defending it and serving its people.
I ask you now: do not stop speaking about Gaza. Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories—until Palestine is free.”
— For the last time, Hossam Shabat, from northern Gaza.

“It reflects the harsh reality that we have been enduring for decades and still persists as we call to stop the injustice and stop the ethnic cleansing of Palestine”
There was an independent inquiry, led by Prof Alexis Jay, whose earlier report on Rotherham shook the country.
The inquiry concluded in 2022, when Kemi Badenoch was Women’s Minister, but the government ignored all of its recommendations.
Why wasn’t Elon tweeting in rage then?
A feminist collective has been hanging up posters near the courthouse in Avignon where the Pelicot mass rape trial is taking place. This one simply says: “Gisèle, women thank you”
This photo from London in 1973 feels just as sadly relevant today.
Housing is a fundamental human right, not a commodity to be used for profit - yet the interests of wealthy speculators are time and again put ahead of our right to a place to call our home.
Are you driven, motivated by change and keen to help my team and I deliver for constituents?

No woman should ever face harassment or intimidation for going to a healthcare appointment.
Nearly ten years ago in Opposition, I called on the Government to introduce buffer zones round abortion clinics.
Now in Government we are acting. On 31 October, it will become the law.
To all the women please take very good care of yourself. Step away if you need to. The damage to our psyche from learning what is happening to so many women and perhaps memories of what has happened to us … it’s a lot.
Feeling very low and sad and angry at the moment.
There are days in politics that you are particularly proud of.
Today is one of those, because we are debating the Great British Energy Bill in Parliament.
This Government won a mandate for the first publicly-owned national energy company in 75 years.
It will be owned by you
