This from @Treesforstreets should give pause for thought. For every £1 spent on trees we get £7 back. Wow. So what then is the potential economic *damage* of felling century old trees at the rate @LewishamCouncil is currently going? (150-200 trees/yr,fyi). Significant, I reckon.

It’s unacceptable that an industry which is churning out trillions in profit is not able to offer alternative solutions and instead opt for cutting down the tree each time. Which doesn’t guarantee the movement to stop anyway!
