@lawandchocolate They’re back to trying to money ball it without actually watching the game and getting it all wrong. They took out Yesavage for the joy of Little.
A very disappointing response from Councillor @TonyMancini_NS. Rather than being accountable, he just wants to point the finger at others. True leadership is demonstrating humility when errors are made and genuinely committing to change. https://t.co/tUi6piq6ro
Very saddened to see @AnitaAnandMP will not seek the @liberal_party leadership nor re-election. Ms. Anand’s authentic leadership style and outstanding capabilities are admirable. 🇨🇦 has been fortunate to have had Ms. Anand’s contributions. Thanks for your public service, Anita!
Most calls for defunding the CBC come from conservatives who argue it is not sufficiently independent because it receives gov’t funding and therefore has a liberal bias. Murphy’s solution is to essentially remove all independence, which would only undermine its credibility. 4/4
Murphy somehow takes a position worse than just defunding the CBC outright. He advocates removing all of the CBC’s revenue streams and then stripping the organization of all independence by having the government direct their day-to-day activities and operations. 🧵⬇️ 1/4
There is evidence to the contrary, however. Murphy wrote this opinion piece for Bell Media who reported in 2024 that they were cutting local news, despite the federal government saving them some 40M per year in licensing fees and negotiating payments from tech companies. 3/4
@privacylawyer A major factor here is that the suspect - who is believed to have acted alone - is deceased. Therefore, there is a reduced risk that this type of disclosure would be jeopardizing the accused’s right to a fair trial. It is still risky if there are potential charges for others.
With the discourse around the @CanadaWorldJ, again, I’ve been left wondering: Aren’t we better than this? Why isn’t the priority supporting these young men developing into healthy, well-adjusted adults? Why don’t we care what we’re doing to them? #TeamCanada#JuniorHockey
Yesterday I attended a @QMJHL game. It was a fun, lively, family-friendly event with many, many children present. Then I saw the father of a teenage player berating him for his on-ice play. They argued on the concourse. The player was later comforted by his mother.
Dr. Nadim Joukhadar is a great guy and it’s an understatement to say this will positively impact the trans and non-binary community in Nova Scotia. This will change lives. Icing on the cake is that it will also save money. #TDoR2024#TDOR
The @TimHortons Holiday Smile Cookies are back and we’re so grateful to be one of the Nova Scotian charities benefitting this year!

Can I just say congratulations to Aaron Kennedy? He laid down a ton of shoe leather across the town of Quispamsis over the last six-seven weeks, and turned a Higgs margin of 4,472 to a victory of 193. Biggest single-riding upset since the move to single-member districts in 1974.
So grateful for @shawnrouse and Amanda! My aunt and mother both proudly put up their signs from their third-party campaign. They complemented their Pride flags 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️ nicely. Seeing them under the Higgs signs brought a smile to our faces and we just know it got under Higgs’ skin.
A special shoutout to @shawnrouse and Amanda Rouse for running one of the most effective third-party campaigns in decades. Their clear message resonated deeply with who we are as New Brunswickers, and voters agreed. Thank you for your dedication and vision. #Grateful#NBFuture
I grew up in @premierbhiggs’ riding of Quispamsis. I went to school with his daughters. His divisiveness, and his hateful anti-2SLGBTQIA+ crusade negatively impacted my family. I am grateful to unsung heroes like @shawnrouse & @dondarlingSJ who fought for decency and compassion.
