@GWRHelp we have 2 advance single tickets booked on the 12:23 from Clapham Junction to Exeter St. Davids. The train has been cancelled - what are our options? Can we take a different route or should we wait for the next direct train?
@UKMathsTrust I made a request via your website many weeks ago, sent an email to your enquiries inbox, and also sent you a DM, but I haven't received responses to any of my messages ๐.
Could I request a reply ASAP please!
@DFDSUKUpdates tried to enter API for Calais to Dover ferry booked at 9:20pm tomorrow but repeatedly getting system error. This happens on the website and app, booking reference 28851976. Have also sent an email but phone lines are shut. Can you help please? Thanks
@OToddUK hi! My wife hsa been waiting for a standard UK Visitor visa for 7+ weeks and has had to cancel flights home to the Philippines to see family. We have also had to cancel family plans in the UK. Can you help us? We feel completely lost and powerless. Thank you.
Sent out a survey to my students to gauge their feelings around speaking English in my classroom (I work in Vietnam for context). This is possibly the best response ever, from an 11 year old Vietnamese student ๐
@efhhistory Up to you but I personally find it helpful staying until 5/6pm on a Friday. Means I can get fully prepped over the weekend and don't have to feel anxious on a Sunday evening!
I also particularly liked the phrase 'Memories are the residue of thinking'. Love this!!! Does this mean that they will commit to their long-term memory just by working through problems and thinking hard?! Interesting if so... @mrbartonmaths#mathschat
Finally got round to embarking on 'How I Wish I'd Taught Maths'. Only read 20 pages but I'm hooked! One thing that's really got me going is 'When I plan lessons - what do I want the students to be thinking about during each section?' #mathschat
@wyropiquet@2SomethingSweet@CMO_England Exactly. Then you'll know the issues. Which is why we have to try to move back into normal schooling as soon as possible. We can't keep schools closed for as long as the pandemic lasts
@2SomethingSweet@CMO_England And in clearly exceptional circumstances like yours then separate situations will have to be arranged. But for the large majority this will not be needed. I feel for you and your family, but exceptional individual needs should not be used as a response to a country-wide policy
@2SomethingSweet@CMO_England So what's the alternative? Schools stay closed until coronavirus ceases to exist? This could mean schools staying closed for at least another year, and likely much longer
@SaigonSean Do you think there is an element that people simply can't afford to shut their establishments? As they will lose income but will still have to pay rent. I don't think in that instance they are being selfish
