@Mouhssin_Ismail Definitely not a big deal and never weighted to make it a deal-breaker for an appointment. I think it is reasonable and developmental to include youngsters. The ‘distrespectful’ observation is a bit archaic perhaps but to each their own …
@mboyle1959 With the squats is it the movement or the movement under load? And with burpees is it the speed and force when dropping repeatedly to the floor? In principle I would promote lowering yourself to the floor and getting back to your feet dynamically as a useful tool.
We are expected to believe that councils fretting about cuts for so long is a smokescreen? Same gvt who believe people who can’t pay bills need to budget better. They assume we are thick!
Councils across England are going bankrupt because of poor financial management and not a lack of money, the head of a new local government watchdog has said ⬇️ https://t.co/PXvoGmgvSh
@garethkthomas This stuff really polarises opinion, doesn’t it. We measure everything about ‘education’ by a set of exams at age 16 so it probably seems a great ‘fix’. Yet the system and funding creates the need for mass economies of scale and centralised behaviouralism. Not my cup of tea.
@Canavaned1971 @Dazzalee127320 Some MATs trump OFSTED in terms of dodgy practice and the inability to admit they are wrong. So many stories like this where common sense goes out the window.
This is great. Is it just me or was the way we did ‘inclusion’ 15 years ago like this? Until we were told we were ‘pandering’! The swings of educational politics can harm a generation eh @Canavaned1971
Just read of the sad loss of Sir Tim Brighouse.
This list has been on the wall of my class then Office for ever and was and is the most important list I’ve ever had. It’s constantly reminded me that teaching is more than what happens in lessons and that it’s about being human.
@bennewmark I think the word ‘trauma’is quite clear. And most of us would like to be as good as possible at promoting life chances for those who have experienced trauma. The rest can be a good old row between different ideologies by the look of it
@GillianKeegan@Conservatives@Daily_Express I have taught under both. This is a lie. Schools are in their knees. This was not tge case before the Conservatives got in. Saying words is not the same thing as speaking the truth.
@teachwellall Is it still encouraged for SLT to become an inspector to gain valuable ‘inside knowledge’? Is it still a good transitional phase and paycheck between retiring and retirement? Is it still a good way to boost your ‘consultant’ profile? 3 answers there.
@englishspecial How much time that could be spent improving teaching and learning is redirected to being Ofsted ready and thus making the school less effective!
@Southgloshead@Ofstednews I agree. No thought of improving the system. ‘Nothing wrong with the system
but I guess we had better do something about these heads that can’t cope’.
