Time for something lighter. I've come to appreciate the meanings liking a post has gained:
I enjoyed this

It's interesting not just how languages change, but how tech helps that change.

@Experian_US might have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I think it might be easier to get Benjamin Franklin on the phone than a person at Experian. I might never get the help I need in time.
As a little fun fact, now that 77" of snow has fallen in Orchard Park near the stadium, the storm is now officially Josh Allen tall (6'5")!
I am not sure even he could hurdle that.
You know, after only a pulse ox and BP measurement. And she's too scared to speak up because she's afraid she'll be considered "hostile." I guess wheezing and coughing so hard it's made her vomit aren't concerning.
@Angry_Staffer My answer can apply to just about any political situation. Because facts alone don't win elections. Scandals, sensationalism, and diversion tactics, touted constantly, do. If there IS a fact involved, it has to be used to serve a purpose, bent to do so, or be used out of context.
@ClaudetteGGibs1 Is it sad I don't need to read any of the comments to know that probably about a third of them are some variation or relation of "in case?," or am I just too cynical (and projecting) in assuming that's what I'm about to read?
@PedroPeros@JewelStaite The societal ingrained, subconscious feeling that high profile individuals are somehow inhuman. Case by case that could mean subhuman or superhuman. Of course in any case it's incorrect.
@DerMann74625488 @Angry_Staffer The problem is disfigurement of the "freedom" ideal. For many, it's devolved into something akin to responsibility only to one's self, disregarding social responsibility. In some cases with the (hopefully) unconscious result is including social responsibility as "oppression."
@kai_nn_i@Angry_Staffer You know how they say say "the system is broken" about government, the legal system, healthcare, game balance, and just about anything systemic in our society? I think "system" can safely be replaced with "world" at this point. Or "our souls." Or both.
