Sources: The Edmtn Oilers are consulting with the NHLPA to see if there are objections that must be resolved before potentially hiring Mike Babcock. Amid allegations of invading players privacy, Babcock resigned in CBJ as Head Coach in 2023. Further investigation may be required.
@DETJustin Entitled arrogance. Those Team USA guys must have really rubbed off on him.
This is likely all posturing. Wings will sit on it until the season approaches and Dylan gets antsy.
@nistr052@DownGoesBrown Wings have all the leverage. They'll be fine with him sitting at home for two years until his no-trade opens up to ten teams. Just because he wants out doesn't mean the organization has to honor it if the return is less than what Yzerman wants.
There really aren’t any rules. You just go to court. If it fails, go to court again until a judge says you’re all set.
Want a 7th year?
Sure
Broke rules?
Ahhhh, it’s fine.
There AREN’T any rules.
@tmatthewshockey@WingedWheelPod Getting a winger back for your 1C isn't a smart move. Wings are already thin at C and this would only exacerbate that. Tell him to expand his list or he's watching next year from home.
@carl_mcglasson@WingedWheelPod The statement is likely the front office leaking this to HSJ to begin the PR battle. Basically expand your list or you're staying home.
NEWS: A judge in district court in Lubbock County, Texas, has granted the injunction requested by Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby. He’s set to be eligible for the 2026 season.
Dylan Larkin's trade request being to Team USA (Minnesota) or the two franchises that win and happen to be in states without an income tax, is laughable.
He'll take a full page ad out in the Free Press after he's dealt telling the fans how much he loves Detroit, and begging for them to understand why he wanted out.
Is Dylan Larkin ever gonna address this trade request? 10 years and our captain and he requests a trade and is dead silent? I feel like he owes us a little something no? Weird #lgrw
I can see the next NHL work stoppage being over no trade/movement clauses. Specifically the league doing away with them, or limiting the number you're allowed to have under contract.
