Amazing day fishing at Kingston Mills with grade 9 math students from @KSS_ldsb . Thank you Jackie, Christina, Alice & Jessi for teaching us about sustainable fishing & Indigenous ways of knowing math. We couldn’t have asked for a better day!
Two wonderful educators @LivNRondeau and @jackieadecker visited MTH1W to make connections between the Indigenous art of beading and mathematics. Ss were engaged, able to ID math concepts such as symmetry, multiplicative thinking and much more. Thank you! @KSS_ldsb
It’s funny how the same people who are “pro-life” aren’t advocating for: housing for all, a living wage, paid sick days, increased social assistance rates, and making sure everyone has access to food. They just want to control women’s bodies. They are not “pro-life”. #RoeVWade
@jackieadecker @LivNRondeau @KSS_ldsb Nia:wen @LivNRondeau for providing engaging learning opportunities for my class. Thank you @jackieadecker for connecting the learning to math. I’m sorry I missed today. You are both stars!
I love exploring linear and non-linear patterns by having students make their own rules. This allows multiple entry points and creates engaging conversation & learning opportunities. Check out our patterns! Patterns to Algebra for the win. #MTH1W@jackieadecker@KSS_ldsb
Thank you @LivNRondeau for your teachings about Indigenous beading in #MTH1W@KSS_ldsb. Students were focused, engaged and then they made amazing math connections. Next steps Patterns to Algebra! @jackieadecker @MsBearse_KSS
Thank you Christina Michie and @natezahn for sharing teachings with math students at Gould Lake. We all learned so much from you. Miigwetch. @MrsAnderson_KSS @MsBearse_KSS @KSS_ldsb
A wonderful day spent with KSS grade 9 math students (MTH1W) at Gould Lake. Our learning together focused on Indigenous ways of knowing and making connections with nature and mathematics. @KSS_ldsb@jackieadecker @MsBearse_KSS
