@m_chiles@LHS_HighSchool Hi- is it possible to get a copy of this? We are in a very exciting time of change at our school! Thanks and no worries if not possible.
@GWRHelp Just letting you know that none of the trains are showing as cancelled at the station. Lots of people waiting for trains that did then not arrive.
Any recommendations for a coach? I want to work with a coach who can help me to develop further as a senior leader and enable me to feel ready for headship in the future. Key issues are a lack of confidence and self belief! #WomenEd
I had no money growing up. My dad was a labourer and my mum did everything to make ends meet. Men worked hard. Women worked miracles. But education was free. As was the local library. I knew books were my passport to a better life. #SupportLibraries
First year as Assistant Headteacher completed. This year I have been both Head of English and Assistant Headteacher to give time to find a head of English replacement. Next year for the first time in 8 years I won’t be a head of English. Sad but I won’t miss the double workload!
Help needed! I’m looking for recommendations for a guest speaker to talk at our school Inset Day which has a focus on staff well-being. I want the talk to focus on why our job is so valuable/taking care of ourselves etc! Any ideas appreciated!
After the Women Ed session yesterday- I made the decision to become more aware of the language I use. Today, I did not apologise when I had a number of points to make in a meeting when normally I would have started with “sorry I have a few things”. #OurNCEJourney#WomenEd
Often the strongest people that I’ve met have usually been through the most challenging life experiences. Instead of allowing those experiences 2harden them or choosing 2become mean &bitter they found strength, kindness, compassion &love @WomenEd@JulesLilly@CharteredColl 🌻
My school really looks after staff well-being and understands the idea of “human first, professional second”. My son has won the headteachers award at his primary school and I get to take the morning off to watch him receive it.
