@TaraBull So what happens if you hook up? Lol

[nun 🇪🇸 @prochoicenun]

A picture that really affected me as a teenager is this one of rosaries confiscated at the border, thrown in the trash, and recovered by a janitor who worked at the border facility

[Christina Roman @MrsRoman23]

@SpringSteps That and the parents are old but they are having to work all the time too

[Christina Roman @MrsRoman23]

@clharrington024 Well most former students say they miss me and wish they could in my class. I just laugh and say that’s bc I’m not telling you to work now, you didn’t like it when you were in my class. Lol. But it makes me feel good that they do remember the love. Grace of God

WWE is not taken seriously enough as performance art by academics and that's 100% a class issue.

Tangentially a political issue.

[Christina Roman @MrsRoman23]

@Marcela252016 Because it’s zero times. It doesn’t matter what the number is, that group of people never showed up so it was none

[Christina Roman @MrsRoman23]

@ShadySchoolBrds @educator4ever36 That’s why I care about it so much. It’s sets up their future

[Christina Roman @MrsRoman23]

@educator4ever36 I’m rethinking my life choices and just not sure what I could do differently but pick a different career when I was younger. I feel like I’m kind of stuck now

[Christina Roman @MrsRoman23]

@educator4ever36 I’m a primary sped teacher and in my 40s. It was hard before but I’m just physically exhausted now

[Christina Roman @MrsRoman23]

@omgsidewalks Me. But it’s in a butter dish.
My Granny was snooty and would get so mad at a restaurant if hey had cold butter. It was so funny to me

[Alan Cornett @alancornett]

See, this is what we want robots for. Clean waterways, sweep streets, etc.

[Shafeeq @Y2SHAF]

You laugh as a kid, but as an adult you realise that teachers bought that with their own money on an insulting salary just to make 30 kids smile

[Christina Roman @MrsRoman23]

@nuel_szy It’s an impulse called emotional flooding

Long after The Golden Girls had made her a household name, Bea Arthur continued to live a fiercely private life off-screen. What few people knew—even among her closest colleagues—was that she had quietly been one of the main financial backers of a New York shelter for homeless LGBTQ+ youth. In the early 2000s, when she learned from a friend about the rising number of queer teens being kicked out of their homes, Bea was appalled. “Nobody deserves to be thrown away,” she said in one of her rare public statements on the matter.

She didn’t just write checks. Bea would often visit the shelter unannounced, bringing bags of groceries or handmade scarves in winter. She insisted on no photos, no press. Staff recalled that she would sit and listen to the kids for hours, giving them advice, jokes, or just quiet comfort. One counselor remembered a Christmas Eve when Bea stayed well past midnight, helping wrap donated gifts. “She was the grandma they never had,” one former resident said

After her death in 2009, it was revealed that Bea had left $300,000 in her will to support the shelter, which was renamed in her honor: The Bea Arthur Residence for Homeless LGBTQ+ Youth. In a world that often lauded her for delivering zingers on screen, her most enduring punchline may have been a silent one—providing shelter and dignity to those who needed it most.
