Believe me: Life gets a lot better when you stop treating every inconvenience like it's the end of the world. Flat tire. Delayed flight. Someone cancels on you. Most things aren't ruining your day unless you decide they are.
A universal rule I've found:
The more you divide your attention...the more you dilute your power.
Choosing only a few things, makes you more effective in all of them.
So, I told my wife, 'These guys are moving pretty fast for 7am!' Turns out, we’ve been on the same route with literal World Class Norwegian Triathletes this week.🏊🏻♂️🚴♂️🏃♂️
If you see a video of superhumans & two people jogging looking confused…that’s us.🇳🇴 🎥 🏖️

Connection is not about how much time we spend together. It's about how much joy and meaning we create together.

"First rule in life: If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it."
True in your work, income, career, and even your personal life.
Secretly wanting things & doing nothing, leads to regret.
Today:
1. Acknowledge what you want
2. Actually Go After it.
Research has found that sitting close to a high performer improved performance by 15%. Sitting close to a low performer decreased performance by 30%.
Surround yourself wisely!
When I tell other profs I have a phone ban in my classes, they sometimes think it can't be done - that students will revolt. In 3 years, I've never gotten a complaint on my student evals about it. You're in charge. And they may appreciate it. I get comments like this one.
3 things I noticed with the most successful people I know:
1. They read a lot
2. They exercise daily
3. They focus on energy management
These are non-negotiables when you’ve got a high workload and big goals.
Our highest loyalty doesn’t belong to people or parties. It belongs to principles.
If you wouldn’t accept it from the “other side,” you shouldn’t accept it from yours.
Integrity is upholding your values even when your own group violates them.
Start where you are. Not where you want to be. Not where you think you should be. Not where others think you should be. But where you are. Every big goal is a series of small steps. Little by little becomes a lot.
There’s a version of your life that looks unrecognizable from where you stand today. And you don’t need a dramatic breakthrough to get there. You need a handful of better choices. You know what they are. Go get the life you deserve. And don't let anyone tell you you can't.
Let this be the year in which you rebuild your attention span. Big Tech wants you unable to focus on anything for longer than a few seconds. Resist the infinite scroll. Avoid short-form videos. Watch movies without being on your phone. Read voraciously and often.
