Today solidified why we choose to start our day OUTSIDE! A toad joined us on our tree stumps + a K saw a tree frog on our window! Journaling, building habitats, creating tadpoles with play dough just happened! Why? Because the kids were engaged + facilitated the learning! #day1

Our virtual #Earthday was not quite the same as being in the forest with our #kindies. We tried to make the most of it by choosing fresh food to eat, picking up garbage, RRR, as well as thanking + talking to our house-plants! I miss our Outdoor Classroom! @kprearlyyears

Less than a week ago schools were safe... unmasked eating together for an hour a day. Today outdoor playgrounds are not safe?!?! I am sorry but everything you say means nothing anymore @fordnation. Children need to thrive and being outdoors is critical to their development!

So, it’s not a “lock down”, it’s a “shut down”. And we’re in the gray zone. But gray is the new red, or partially? And we didn’t need to send the requested bag to school with our kids today to collect their shoes. And March break, in April, is still on. OK. Couldn’t be clearer.
