10.Set boundaries for yourself. You are not failing when you can’t fix structural neglect. Prioritise what you can control. Aim: Reduce isolation and burnout; build local micro solutions within a flawed system.

Can't agree more with James. However, the ideal of high expectations must be paired with realistic, system-informed responses particularly to behaviour. It’s not enough to believe every child can succeed, we must also create conditions where success is possible for all.
