I enjoyed learning what it was like to pattern dynamite in the Silverton Mining exhibit. I didn’t realize that this was such a crucial part to mining. Without patterning there was the potential that the mine would be destroyed. #HCCFieldStudent

I got to experience the immersive theater in the Dust Bowl exhibit. It truly made me feel like I was there and at the end my mind was playing tricks on me because I felt like I was breathing in dust. #HCCFieldStudent

These pictures are a great representation of the progression of the Dust Bowl. On one side there is an abundance of crop growth and on the other it’s all dead. I didn’t realize how destructive this event truly was. #HCCFieldStudent

At the Bent’s Fort exhibit I learned that a lot of different languages made trading difficult in that time period. To immerse the students into this, there are charades to go with the “trade game” and I love that. #HCCFieldStudent
