The #Mulika Campaign is youth-led, fighting rape & defilement in Kenya by educating, empowering & mobilizing communities to #EndTheSilence#EndTheCycle.
The tolerance for child abuse including sexual abuse must be zero. Children are often at the mercy of adults, including teachers, which makes institutions such as the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) critical in safeguarding their wellbeing.
We welcome TSC’s recent action to dismiss and deregister teachers found guilty of misconduct as an important step toward ensuring schools remain safe spaces. However, we urge for continued vigilance and accountability from all institutions entrusted with children’s care, so that every child can learn free from fear, harm, or exploitation.

No one should be compelled to give birth. Not survivors of rape. Not teenagers. Not women with health complications. Not anyone.
Choice means safety. Choice means survival. Women and girls deserve more than shame, they deserve support.

"The psychological scars inflicted by sexual assault are insidious, often leaving victims as mere shells of their former selves, struggling with a pain that permeates every aspect of their being. This is a weapon of control, a tool of subjugation, and its deployment in times of crisis is a chilling reminder of the depths of depravity to which some will sink to silence dissent..."-@loveablekathia on today's @PeopleDailyKe
