@moseskagan Interesting. The prod wouldn't pay the tariff, It would get paid by the distributor who "imports it" and then passed onto the streamer/theater if they are not the distributor. Ultimately prods just go chasing tax credits, maybe higher price for an import film moves behavior.
@AlTayWeiss Also worth noting on the 15th the LA County Health Department temporarily banned use of all air blowers moving forward in response to air quality from the wildfires.
@AlTayWeiss I've seen many gardeners with electric leaf blowers. Without knowing the complaint but I would imagine this not being about sound. I assume it's about gas fumes making their way into buildings that don't have weatherproofed windows.
@JohnGonzalesLA1@LuKapreliants@JohnGonzalesLA1 is accurate. But said another way. If someone had a part of their structure that was โlegally non-confirmingโ(built prior to code changes) they can get those portions of structure back. They had a legal structure prior to fire. City is allowing it to be rebuilt
@EllliotttB I believe in the state of California the Governor has the ability to suspend any regulation in the state of emergency. So it is easier to suspend vs repeal. Hopefully, this can serve as a springboard to make building easier moving forward.
