.@OpenRouter co-founder Alex Atallah on the "everyone is building the same thing" take:
"This reminds me of this tweet I saw... Everybody's building an agent loop with notifications, third-party connectors, context management, memory, sandboxes, agentic web search, an always-on agent on top."
"This product is showing up everywhere. It is showing up everywhere, but these are just the new table-stakes primitives."
"A 2005 version of that tweet would be: 'Oh, everybody's building the same thing. A database, a users table, a sign-in page, a sign-up page, a profile page, a logout page. Everything's the same.'"
"There's like a lot of differentiation really. There's table-stakes needs for AI just like there's table-stakes needs for the web."

If you want to make the most progress you've ever made in your life, you need to be alone. You need an extended period of isolation, not influenced by friends or media, spent building your future. You need space to learn, think, experiment, and fail.
Give yourself 6 months. Focus solely on the development of your mind, body, spirit, and finances. This is how you get ahead of most people.
Software Engineering has changed completely after AI, you have to adapt with this new rapid change in the industry!
Drop your doubts in comments and I’ll answer those in upcoming reels!
@Abhishekcur Not testing or challenging your understanding, but do you know how native C++ code helps create a new OS-level thread when the JVM requests a new thread from Java?
My god this is such a good speech that every SWE needs to hear. You know what? Every person should hear it
Keep the happy memories, eyes on the reality, be excited about the future. That’s the best that anyone can do
I spent most of my 20s building a SaaS app that we scaled to tens of millions in revenue and a 9-figure exit
We had 100+ employees at our peak
And I could (no joke) build a better product with AI in less than 24 hours today
Software has become a commodity
This is the easiest time in human history to become a millionaire.
Not someday. Right now.
AI has collapsed the cost of learning, building, coding, marketing, selling and starting a company.
One person with a laptop can now do what used to require a team, millions in capital and years of experience.
Everyone is focused on what AI will destroy.
They’re overlooking how much easier it just became to build wealth.
After multiple rejections and countless hours of preparation, I finally cracked Chargebee! 🚀
Grateful for every failure that taught me something along the way.
Excited for the next chapter! ❤️🔥
Developer tools are growing unusually fast because their power users are now agents and agents can write a lot more code than humans.
As agents get used for more things, that same pattern should show up for any products used by agents to make better decisions for humans. An agent isn't going to buy me 10,000 jackets but it can search across 10,000 to find the one i should buy.
If you're looking for startup ideas, it's worth asking what decisions will agents make on behalf of humans in the future and what infrastructure will they need to make them well?
