@mutethia_karuma General boundaries form the majority of surveyed land in Kenya. It gets crazy here in the counties especially where there are boundary disputes and the plotable accuracy is 2.5 meters! This is the drama I have to deal with on a daily basis 😁

7 Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins are a group of vices in Christian teaching that are believed to lead people away from spiritual growth and moral living. They represent tendencies that, if left unchecked, can damage relationships, corrupt character, and separate individuals from God’s will.

1. Pride

Definition: An excessive belief in one’s own abilities, achievements, or worth, often leading to arrogance and disregard for others.

Impact: Considered the root of all other sins because it places self above God and others.

Opposite Virtue: Humility – recognizing one’s dependence on God and valuing others.

2. Lust

Definition: An intense or uncontrolled craving, usually for sexual pleasure, but also for anything that consumes a person’s thoughts and actions.

Impact: Reduces people to objects of gratification, damaging respect and love.

Opposite Virtue: Chastity – respecting the dignity of others and practicing self-control.

3. Greed (Avarice)

Definition: An excessive desire for material possessions, wealth, or power.

Impact: Leads to selfishness, exploitation, and neglect of those in need.

Opposite Virtue: Generosity (Charity) – willingly sharing resources and caring for others.

4. Envy

Definition: Resentment or jealousy over what others have, whether it be status, possessions, talents, or relationships.

Impact: Breeds bitterness, rivalry, and dissatisfaction with one’s own blessings.

Opposite Virtue: Kindness – rejoicing in others’ success and practicing gratitude.

5. Gluttony

Definition: Overindulgence in food, drink, or anything that leads to waste or lack of self-control.

Impact: Neglects moderation and ignores the needs of others who lack.

Opposite Virtue: Temperance – practicing balance, moderation, and mindful consumption.

6. Wrath (Anger)

Definition: Intense, uncontrolled hatred or rage that seeks revenge or harm.

Impact: Destroys peace, fuels violence, and prevents forgiveness.

Opposite Virtue: Patience – practicing self-restraint, forgiveness, and calmness.

7. Sloth

Definition: Laziness, apathy, or failure to act when action is needed; neglect of one’s duties to God, self, or others.

Impact: Leads to wasted potential and spiritual emptiness.

Opposite Virtue: Diligence – persistence, hard work, and devotion to responsibilities.

The Seven Deadly Sins highlight destructive human tendencies that, if unchecked, can weaken moral character and harm society. By practicing their opposite virtues humility, chastity, generosity, kindness, temperance, patience, and diligence individuals can grow in wisdom, faith, and love.
