Gravis: MOIO study looking to show that reduced frequency IO is non-inferior to SoC. Non-inferiority not met. Study stopped early because reduced IO did not reduce toxicity or appear to improve survival. Pragmatic but messy design and small numbers. #LCSM #ESMO26

A true tour de force by the amazing @DrJNaidoo at #ESMO26 Presidential Symposium! 👏🔥

A masterclass in how to discuss a negative trial: sharp, insightful, and extracting every important message for our oncology community.

And doing it all while waiting for the new member of the family! ❤️ A powerful #WomenForOncology role model! Absolutely WOW! 🌟💪💪

🔥 Outstanding piece of work published today in Nature Medicine!
Huge congratulations to @MartinReck2 ,@NadalErnest , @DoctorJSpicer and @AndrearicFili , and the entire MDT-BRIDGE team on this important publication! 👏👏
The phase II MDT-BRIDGE trial, investigating neoadjuvant durvalumab plus chemotherapy in resectable or borderline resectable NSCLC, tackles a clinically relevant question: how can we push the boundaries of multidisciplinary treatment and offer more patients a chance of curative-intent therapy?
This is exactly the kind of collaborative clinical research we need: challenging established boundaries, asking meaningful questions, and ultimately striving to improve outcomes for our patients.
Congratulations to everyone involved! 👏

Excellent discussion by @DrJNaidoo at presidential #ESMO26 on non-inferiority trials and treatment de-escalation in oncology. Less treatment w|out compromising efficacy? The challenges: defining acceptable margins, selecting right patients, ensuring clinically meaningful outcomes

#ESMO26 Today the thoracic oncology community celebrates:

🏆 The major advances in the fight against lung cancer reported at @myESMO

🎉The birthday of @JordiRemon 🥳 (great discussant!)

🐣 The new member of the lung cancer family on the way!!! ….and the best ever pregnant discussant of all times @DrJNaidoo

So happy to be part of this superfamily
May God bless you all and our patients

#ESMO26 Highly recommend watching Dr. Tina Cascone in this lung education session for a mechanistic view of novel immunotherapy agents. Clear explanation of how function follows structure, the science behind bispecifics and trispecifics - combinatorial vs obligate. Watch online - tremendous resource for anyone involved in the space. #ESMOAmbassadors

Small-cell lung cancer is one of the most aggressive and lethal cancers worldwide. Although treatments have improved overall survival, most patients ultimately have disease progression. Research findings from the phase 3 TAISHAN-302 trial are summarized in a new Quick Take video. https://t.co/4jfgBBYDz8

Y Wu: presenting SANOVO trial. Number of patients screened is enormous. Significant PFS 24 months vs 11.1 months and OS benefit HR 0.48! Minimal increase in AEs. Note increased MET has much worse PFS to what we usually see with Osi. Impressive results. #LCSM #ESMO26

#ESMO26 Dr. Chongrui Xu presents phase III HERON-Lung01 trial: ruzaltatug rezetecan (HER3 ADC) vs platinum chemo in EGFR NSCLC post TKI. ADC superior: PFS 8.3 vs 5.4m, HR 0.47 with OS trend (HR 0.70, ns) despite crossover. RR 60% vs 34% Low rates of discontinuation, ILD rate 2.4% and most toxicity hematologic. #ESMOAmbassadors

Lots of #MET-targeted presentations at #ESMO26. An update on Teliso-V (First in class c-Met ADC) in #NSCLC (c-Met high) in the US, primarily used in a heavily pretreated population ... Stop by !

[Dr. Antonio Calles 🫁🚭 @Tony_Calles]

Iza-Bren seems to provide efficacy in pretreated EGFR-mutated NSCLC compared to pt-based chemotherapy.
Better ORR and PFS, OS still immature, safety profile not such favorable compared to chemotherapy. Interesting to see global data, optimized AEs management. Good to have more potential options available. #ESMO26 #LCSM

[Stephen V Liu, MD @StephenVLiu]

#ESMO26 Dr. Ziming Li with phase III study of dalmelitinib + aumolertinib vs platinum chemo in EGFR+ NSCLC with MET amp post EGFR TKI. PFS favors TKIs: 6.2m vs 4.4m, HR 0.60; OS immature and high crossover (HR 0.84). RR 60% vs 39%. Higher d/c rate with TKIs. #ESMOAmbassadors

Simultaneous publication @NEJM of #ESMO26 presentation from Dr. Shun Lu. Osimertinib + savolitinib superior to chemo in EGFR+ NSCLC post osimertinib with MET overexpression and/or amp: 338 randomized / 1746 screened: PFS 7.6 vs 5.4m, HR 0.55, OS HR 0.68

#ESMO26 Dr. Yilong Wu @ThomasW35874311 presents SANOVO: 1L osimertinib + savolitinib/placebo in EGFR+ NSCLC with MET overexpression. Wow. PFS 24.8 vs 11.1m, HR 0.45 with OS 44.5 vs 34.9m, HR 0.48. RR 81% vs 68%. Toxicities below. Very impressive. #ESMOAmbassadors

#ESMO26 Dr. Li Zhang presents PANKU-Lung01: phase III izalontamab brengitecan (iza-bren, HER3:EGFR ADC) vs platinum based chemo in EGFR+ NSCLC after 3G TKI. Iza bren improved PFS: 11.1 vs 5.7m, HR 0.40! OS immature but 1y rates 83% vs 73%. High reduction/interruption rates but low discontinuation rates. Most common toxicities were hematologic in nature. Very exciting data here: ADCs here to stay. #ESMOAmbassadors
