My institute, Kavli-IPMU at the university of Tokyo is hiring early career researchers whose work has been disrupted due to difficult circumstances due to events happening at various places currently in the world. Please repost and encourage them to apply. 🙏🏻
🌟🌟 Are you or anyone you know interested in doing interdisciplinary neutron star research? I am looking to hire 2 postdocs to join me at RHUL in October 2025. One post will focus on cosmic superfluidity, the other on radio pulsar timing. Deadline 28 February 2025. See below.
Turns out this fast radio burst comes from a region less than 30,000km in size… that’s tiny!! 🤯 read about how we used scintillation to constrain the FRB emission region size at the link below ✨
Alright folks, time to get on the FINESST-24 application, deadline February 5th 2025. Check the new DAPR requirement and useful resources on NSPIRES, including our webinar. Please share widely, Master and international students in the US are also eligible: https://t.co/b3SP69yOAF

We discovered three ultracompact binaries with accreting white dwarfs (WDs), by their photometric and spectroscopic variability. With orbital periods of 13.2/8.7/7.9 mins, they are the most compact binaries with accretion disks! (1/6)
❗️❕❗️❕Applications for PhysGAAP mentoring are CLOSING SOON ON NOV 15 ❕❗️❕❗️
After the application closes, we will send mentor-mentee matches within a couple of days. Apply here: https://t.co/CkqMbmXvW0
Very cool to see this code made publicly available! CHIME's VOEvent service is super helpful for enabling followup observations of new (or newly active!) FRBs.

PhysGAAP 1-on-1 mentorship applications are LIVE 🧑💻
This is an opportunity to connect with a current grad student mentor to get in-depth guidance about the MIT physics graduate application process and about graduate school.

i’m excited to announce that i am hiring!
i am looking for a postdoc in computational astrophysics that’s excited about massive stars, stellar transients, and multi-messenger astronomy to join my group at @StewardAstro.
Come work with me! @AAUniversities is hiring a Senior Coordinator for Government Relations & Public Policy. Looking for someone with Capitol Hill, exec branch or university #govtrelations experience. Help spread the word! @scipoljobs@scipoljobs. https://t.co/SamsN0WV0P
Galactic magnetar SGR 1E 1841-045 at the center of supernova remnant Kes 73 looks burst-active now. NICER also stated monitoring of this source, and detected burst candidates -- Recommendation of radio follow-ups for FRB-related science.

The basic issue with Asian parenting in the West is that it tries to forcefeed a scarcity mindset into kids obviously living in a post-scarcity society
if you're a later-year PhD student thinking about internships for next summer, my team at Morgan Stanley (ML Research) is hiring!
we're a tight-knit team of ~20 researchers working on everything from time-series to RL to diffusion to LLMs, both applications and fundamentals. we have compute, publishing freedom, and an endless supply of hard and interesting problems.
feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
Hi Astro people, I’m organizing Princeton’s Galread speaker series during the Fall semester. We still have a few slots open in October/November/December, so if you’re a late-stage PhD student or early career postdoc who would like to come present a paper, please reach out!
