@LittleMammith Do you just not understand objective morality? "That person would have objective reason" - that's not how it works. Read the Wiki page on moral realism, specifically the part about how it refers to objective features of the world. It's the first sentence.

Like I said, the logic already assumes the existence of objective morality, otherwise your intuition wouldn't reach it.

The quoted logic fails on a fallacy, so if you want to assert that "some reason to believe X is objective is sufficient" you'll have to present a workable model that supports it. Until then, the default position is "no".

@LittleMammith Yeah. That difference is objectivity. If you're throwing away the proof of X, then you're judging the subjective claim, not objective. That's the whole problem of this entire idea; thinking about "some reason" only makes sense from the POV of a *subjective* oracle. Not objective.

@LittleMammith Many people thinking X does not, by itself, imply that X is true, no matter what adjectives you put in front of it. The logic in the screenshot is wrong, because it is invalidated at point 4. You cannot use it as a justification for a moral rule, no matter what the specific X is.

@LittleMammith No, it doesn't work. 4. - "We have some reason to belive that X is *objectively* wrong" - means you're already asserting an objective wrong, which is, by definition, moral realism. We have zero knowledge that it's objectively anything. You're assuming the conclusion in the setup.
