Parent/Carer group dedicated to improving local and national Health & Social Children’s Services and challenging the establishments. #SaveNascot#FundNotFail
Last month more than 4,000 parent carers told us about the impact of lockdown on their families.
Today we have published the results of the survey. Read what we learnt https://t.co/7MCzO2pBTI
We are incredibly grateful to every one of the more that 3,400 parents of disabled children who took our back to school poll this autumn. Tomorrow, we will be publishing the results of the poll. Watch this space.

Our Back to School poll closes a week today, so there's still time to let us know how things have changed for your family and your disabled child since lockdown in the spring and the return to school this autumn. #LeftInLockdown

We want to hear from Hertfordshire parents of children aged 0 to 11 years with complex health needs about what help they had or need in the preschool years with managing all the appointments and care. Shirt survey here:

Affected families are encouraged to complete this survey. This is particularly close to home as respite services were affected during #Lockdown and even to this day. Thank you
What has the returned to school been like for disabled children? Are you getting the health and social care support you need? Take our new poll #LeftInLockdown https://t.co/n2PHA3GAHT
Powerful reporting on the SEND crisis from @seandilleyNEWS@BBCPanorama Gets across the true human cost of a system getting it wrong. Infuriatingly,I’ve seen the same stories again and again over the years, but the sadness and injustice of it all gets me every time. #KeepFighting
The government has told local councils to prioritise reinstating short breaks and respite care for disabled children. But around half of parents told us their breaks have not been reinstated. #LeftInLockdown
Another #Panorama about failing disabled children... no change then. When will people understand that failing children and young people is more costly (financially, emotionally, etc) than supporting them? @BorisJohnson@GavinWilliamson@BBCPanorama@DCPcampaign
Today, the Department for Education have announced that they won't extend the temporary change in the law for Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in England beyond 31st July 2020.

My aim for Carers week would be to teach the BBC, the Times and other media the difference between an unpaid family carer and a paid careworkers. Both valuable but not the same.
@cj_dinenage And yet you allowed @HVCCG to close #NascotLawn leaving children and young people with continuing care without a respite for their parents/carers 👍 yep - you care about carers. Actions speak louder than words. I still live in this uncertain hell. You contributed to it. Thanks!
It's #CarersWeek and in the current circumstances it has never been more important to raise public awareness of the reality of life for parent carers of disabled children #SecretLifeOfUs#SecretLifeInLockdown
If you think your child should’ve received notification to isolate for 12-weeks because they qualify according to the government criteria and didn’t receive notice, please contact your MP - in the case for #Watford : @dean4watford
@Angelina_SMurph Just to note to anyone else who might be in the same position in #Watford. Please also email me at [email protected] (please include your home address). Thanks. Dean

@dean4watford many Watford children haven’t received their notifications of being vulnerable. My son with CYPCC is one of them. I can’t get a delivery or shop during the vulnerable hour. This adds to my anxiety and worsens my mental health. This is a typical #ToryFailure
Who are the best people to ask for advice on changes needed to the legal framework for social care for disabled children?
How about @SteveBroach ? And, more even more so: you - the families who have lived with the current system.
Let us & Steve have you views & ideas
I'm going to be a Dad and we are both thrilled...
It follows a random moment on our Christmas Day Show.
Little did we know Marina was actually pregnant at the time.
This is what happened on the show tonight
Thanks for all the lovely messages xxx
