There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better.

Indian Railways needs over 200,000 wheels every year to keep building new trains and wagons

For years, India was buying around 80,000 wheels from China, Ukraine, and Russia because domestic factories could not keep up. Now Ramkrishna and Titagarh have won ₹12,226 crore contract to set up their own wheel factory. They will make 80,000 forged wheels per year for next 20 years.

Investment in this plant is close to ₹1,000 crore and trial production has already begun

Every train, wagon, and metro coach has bearings inside it. Bearings are metal parts that let wheels spin smoothly on axles. 3 big companies make most of these bearings in India.

Timken India had its best year ever with ₹3,419 crore revenue in FY26 and just opened new factory in Bharuch for roller bearings. Schaeffler India grew 18% in first half of 2026. SKF India made ₹945 crore in just Q4 FY26.

More trains being built means more bearings sold every year

Texmaco Rail makes freight wagons for Indian Railways. In Q1 FY27, its revenue came in at ₹753 crore, which was 17% lower than same quarter last year But this drop was not because of fewer orders.

Texmaco has ₹9,923 crore worth of orders waiting to be filled. Revenue fell because parts needed to build wagons were not arriving on time. Indian wagon makers can build 60,000 wagons per year in theory but end up making only 35,000 to 40,000.

Profit still rose 86% to ₹52 crore because margins improved
