I think we had this exact same discussion just a few weeks ago on this platform. A salaried employee making 25 lpa isn't taking home more than 1.5L max per month. At 40 lpa, it's only **slightly** higher. Either way, it'll take a LOT higher CTC to even cross the 2L threshold for take home per month

Controversial take ⚠️: Was chatting with a very experienced big tech recruiter from the Valley and one thing he said stuck with me.

Big tech companies rarely let go of their true top performers voluntarily. Most movement at that level usually happens through massive compensation jumps or very strategic opportunities beyond normal bands.

A lot of the circulation in the market is often average to below-average performers moving around repeatedly.

And over time, companies also start realizing that many of their strongest performers internally aren’t necessarily the ones coming from big tech backgrounds.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this “big tech tag” fever reduces significantly over the next few years.

There are millions of families that have net worth of over $1 million.

$4.5 million is elite. You got to have a major inheritance or got early in real estate or got into tech early or got into banking in 90s or maybe you were absolute crazy guy to have bought Tesla/BTC pre 2015.

Even with immense wealth, that is very well distributed, $4 million liquid net worth at 60 is a pipe dream in America.

Rapido disrupted cabs with this model. Look forward to seeing it in food delivery.
Their strategy is to enter late (once behaviour is built) and design a model to keep supply happy which solves all downstream problems with existing models like mis-pricing, cancellation, bad service.

Big question is if delivery fees (₹30) as the only revenue lever (maybe some ad revenue as well) is enough to cover all the costs. And if flat delivery fee will generate enough volume (hoping customers save enough via cheaper prices on the menu)
