A coder getting AI is like a farmer getting a tractor and saying "oh wow, look how fast it tills my small plot! Now what used to take all day takes 30 minutes. I can relax for the rest of the day".

What a tractor actually does is help the farmer till LARGER plots. It still takes all day - but you achieve more.

Any farmer still tilling small plots will be out of business.

The way claude code and codex implemented admin permissions is fascinating. It clearly shows the differences in how these companies operate.

@vaibhavbetter Wouldn't bet on it. We use Amazon Now quite frequently too, but primarily for the super generous cashbacks (I am sure Jeff Bezos doesn't mind). The whole Amazon app is buggy and the competitors are much nicer to use.
They also need segregation to avoid Basic/Fresh/Now confusion

I have been to 3 cities in our counselling tour and in each of them, questions are raised on the new age tech courses being offered by a dozen odd EdTech players - Scaler, Newton, Vedam, Polaris, PW IoI, Next Wave etc.

The marketing is aggressive as also the sales pitch. The real problem is the influencers (some backed by big EdTech too) who actively partake in misleading and mis-selling. If it were in financial services, these influencers would be behind bars!!

There are pros and cons to these offerings. If we were to remove the status of ‘not for profit’, these players would possibly in the top 15%. I always said that if we were to remove the degree granting status, more than 85% approved colleges and universities will die.

However, the mis-selling starts with selling highest LPA (a lie), percentage placed (a lie) and selling a degree (a lie). I have formal complaints, addressed to UGC with a copy to us. Someone needs to call out the elephant in the room and tell facts as they are..and be honest with the student.

I have spoken to experts, students and the EdTech companies too. I will be making an attempt to play with a straight bat, this weekend. If any one has a feedback, please DM.
