Human end-of-life preservation for later revival

[Nectome @NectomeResearch]

Everyone should be preserved after they die.

We want a human future. It's finally possible to preserve people well enough that they could be eventually restored.

Do scientists agree? Researchers generally agree memory is structural and can be preserved by aldehydes. Scientists are often cautious, but the underlying principles of preservation are well-understood. The process and methods of revival are all open scientific questions.

The Brain Preservation Foundation says that our technique preserves "with such fidelity that the structure of every neuronal process and every synaptic connection remained intact and traceable using today's electron-microscopic imaging techniques."

Everything you've ever learned is stored in your synapses. Fixation locks them in place: in ~60 sec glutaraldehyde forms "a gel that traps essentially all proteins, DNA, lipids." The case for preserving the dying, even before revival is possible.
