सहारनपुर कलेक्ट्रेट मस्जिद के ध्वस्तीकरण पर मेरी ग्राउंड रिपोर्टिंग को लेकर मेरे खिलाफ कथित तौर पर प्राथमिकी दर्ज होने की जानकारी अखबार के माध्यम से मिली है।

सवाल सिर्फ मेरा नहीं है - क्या पत्रकारिता करना, ज़मीन पर जो देखा उसे दिखाना और सवाल पूछना अपराध है?

मैंने वही रिपोर्ट करने की कोशिश की जो मौके पर देखा और लोगों से सुना।

मैं कानून और न्यायिक प्रक्रिया का सम्मान करती हूं। लेकिन सवाल यह है -

अगर एक पत्रकार को सच दिखाने और सवाल पूछने की कीमत प्राथमिकी के रूप में चुकानी पड़े, तो फिर आम जनता की आवाज़ कौन उठाएगा? और लोकतंत्र में पत्रकार की भूमिका आखिर क्या बचेगी?

MP: 100 साल पुरानी शाही मस्जिद हटाने के खिलाफ दोनों याचिकाएं खारिज! रोड चौड़ीकरण का रास्ता हुआ साफ, अब निगम करेगा कार्रवाई!

सिंहस्थ महापर्व 2028 की तैयारियों के तहत उज्जैन में सड़कों के चौड़ीकरण का काम तेजी से चल रहा है। गोपाल मंदिर मार्ग के चौड़ीकरण की जद में आ रही करीब 100 साल पुरानी शाही मस्जिद को हटाने के खिलाफ दायर दोनों याचिकाओं को मप्र हाई कोर्ट की इंदौर पीठ ने बुधवार को खारिज कर दिया। जस्टिस संदीप एन. भट्ट की एकल पीठ ने दोनों मामलों की एक साथ सुनवाई की और दोनों पक्षों की दलीलें सुनने के बाद याचिकाएं निरस्त कर दीं।

नगर निगम की ओर से शाही मस्जिद को हटाने के लिए नोटिस जारी किए जाने के बाद से ही मुस्लिम समाज इसका विरोध कर रहा है। याचिकाकर्ताओं का कहना है कि मस्जिद ऐतिहासिक और धार्मिक महत्व की है, इसलिए इसे हटाया नहीं जाना चाहिए।

याचिकाकर्ताओं के अधिवक्ता सैय्यद अशहर अली वारसी ने कहा कि अभी विस्तृत लिखित आदेश आना बाकी है। याचिकाएं खारिज की गई हैं, लेकिन आदेश का अध्ययन करने के बाद फैसले के खिलाफ डबल बेंच या सुप्रीम कोर्ट में अपील की जाएगी।

2. Swatantra Bhardwaj: also from Darbhanga... arrested for allegedly assaulting the father of a student protester at Jantar Mantar, Delhi.

A podcast clip surfaced where he reportedly boasted about the assault himself... claiming the victim needed around 60 stitches. SC/ST and POCSO charges have now been added. He stays in jail.

Same soil. Same district. Completely opposite choices.

One built a career putting India on the global space map.
One built a reputation on violence and is now behind bars.

Now look at our media.

Imtiyaz Ahmad: ISRO Project Director... barely made regional headlines. No prime time. No breaking news. No viral moment.

Swatantra Bhardwaj... arrested RW influencer... is everywhere. Every channel. Every scroll. Every debate.

A man who helped launch a satellite gets ignored.

A man who allegedly cracked someone's skull gets prime time coverage.

This is not just about two people from Darbhanga.
This is about what we celebrate, what we ignore... and what our media has chosen to sell us.

Bihar produces scientists who reach space... and influencers who end up in handcuffs. The difference is always the choices you make.
