SEC is govt approved predation of retail investors. Its financial crime operated in plain sight via Accredited Investors, refusal to investigate or guide, mkt manipulation, disadvantaging retail, enabling front running, etc. Then SEC claim investor protection 2 cover it up.
In the Madoff case it took 8 years of whistleblowing before the 50 billion dollars fraud was addressed by the SEC. You can milk bullions from a project for 8 years then have the predetermined fall guy to take the hit after. 50 billion reasons to delay the case.
Absolutely up to his neck in #ETHgate. Delisting XRP was price he paid to be allowed to IPO by SEC, to pump his holdings as retail piled in, sell off at the top & leave Retail holding a pile of crap. Accredited investor predation of retail as enabled by SEC. 80% loses from IPO.
@brian_armstrong@coinbase says he is against #Tribalism. Yet his actions prove that is what he stands for. He accepted #SGB intended for their customers who held #XRP and kept for himself. He is the definition of #ETH Tribalism. Prove me wrong.
Cant, he doesnt think "we are all in this together" as he blocked me for disagreeing with him a year or so ago. They will get the case out the way & itll be back to ignoring everything but ETH & BTC.
OUTSTANDING JOB BY @BlockchainAssn, @jchervinsky and his entire team. Exactly what this space needs. United ๐ Government overreach.
I have a feeling that there will be at least one more amicus brief filed.
Astounding thread & shows how crypto investors probably led by A16Z have cartelised cryypto in the same circular ownership structure that is employed on Wall St. If there is one one thing the SEC should be doing to protect investirs it is to prevent circular ownership. All are โ
claiming each other as assets on their books but if each own chunks of each other they are all counting the same fucking money as theirs. This is not true capital raised as theyre funding their own shares by cross investment. What a fucking scam US economy is built on. ...โ
Bill this guy is a paid fudster, losing the argument. Makes up whatever damaging shit he can to hold XRP back. Maxis have been out in force since Hinman emails were turned over. He's all crap otherwise he'd file an Amicus to support SEC. SEC found 0 fraud or deception by Ripple.
If you say Rippleโs disclosure is incomplete and misleading on such a key matter tell me where in the SECโs amended complaint, after a two year investigation and two years of litigation, do they allege Rippleโs public statements are fraudulent or misleading. They donโt.
My concern with VR is similar to some anti-crypto people's concern about crypto: a feeling that people are "in love with the idea of it" in a way that far outpaces actual applications.
Just like with crypto, I do think important apps exist! But "VR for the sake of VR" won't work
