I feel like Socrates wanted to be the exception to the law at the time. I don't believe that he was wrong, but it is interesting that he argued that everyone else was incapable of accepting truths despite the fact that he got an opportunity to speak against his crimes. #I2E21
@SophiaGuadagno1 No, I don't think that people should be sentenced to death for impiety and corrupting the youth. I do however believe that going by the law at the time he did in fact break it. #I2E21
@JacobSh61423481 I agree, while I can see how some people might thing that it is too Jargonistic, I like how he is trying to put names to things to classify them. #I2E21
@ProfessorDEG @andrewheller24 Ignore the Taki calls. Taquitos are the superior version and the only flavor of Chile & Lime that I have ever found to taste authentic. #I2E21 https://t.co/QDFl9n3VFs
@lbarcol Yep, Jean Grimshaw's opinions were pretty cathartic after hearing the contradictory view from Kohlberg and Gillian, where they contradicted ethical generality and feminism respectively. #I2E21
@_zahrawest I don't like the idea of death row prisoners in general because of how fallible a jury is to get a proper conviction, but as with all rights they can be taken away if the situation calls for it. I.E. using firearms in self-defense can negate the attackers right to life.#I2E21
I realized that I was actually asked the same question that was posed to Jake and Amy was also asked to me when I was a little kid(younger than they were but idk age). My answer was similar to Amy's but it was because of maintaining integrity that I didn't want to steal. #I2E21
I think that feminists arguing for treating women separate from men is very strange and backwards. The argument for feminism should have been that there isn't a difference... Also I am thankful for Jean Grimshaw, she said a lot of what I was thinking. #I2E21
@BruntNugget22 @juliejacobs07 Do you not believe that humans can fill their time with meaningful things outside of doing work to survive? I would rather not live in a society that has such life-altering requirements out of people rather than live in one that does. #I2E21
@NagelyRodrigue3@KayliReynolds24 This isn't what free will refers to. Free will is about the ability to make choices, the polar opposite being determinism where everything is predetermined. But I do appreciate the quote lol #I2E21
@sqrimbey Remember this is only if you were actually unlucky, if you were a horrible person before that isn't being unlucky that is still being a bad person #I2E21
@JpasseroU@SamborskiLucas I think that these are things that generally apply to pretty much all decisions, and being able to keep them in mind enable you to make better choices. Though, keeping everything in mind is hard/impossible so IMO its more about allowing you a reference for personal growth. #I2E21
@Michellemwoedy What do you think the obligation of U.S. citizens are as fellow humans to children of other countries in terms of education are? #I2E21
@BrenaManning@JorgeEd36973635 Agreed, if you look at the U.S. constitution so many of the words are rooted in philosophy. It is kind of insane actually. #I2E21
