#CAS manipulation, volatility at #BSE #NSE issue, I wrote to Finance Economic Affairs Secretary for review of CSA guidelines & take up the issue with #SEBI

[Ravi Asodariya @imravia_]

Dear @narendramodi Sir, your so-called bureaucracy is simply not listening to us.

I was once a huge supporter of you, but honestly, it feels like our concerns are being ignored. I am ready to debate the SEBI Chairperson publicly and demonstrate, with data and logic, why the current CAS implementation is not suitable for the Indian market at this stage.

This is my country too. I voted for you, and I have every right to question policies that affect our markets and economy.

Whether there is a hidden agenda or not, lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. This may be a small group raising the concern today, but the issue is becoming increasingly messy.

If the data behind CAS is genuinely robust, publish it and address the concerns transparently.

Please intervene. Fix the CAS issue before it creates a bigger problem. The public deserves answers.

In any country that genuinely values transparency, accountability and market integrity :-

The SEBI chief and every official responsible for implementing CAS in this manner should have been fired immediately.

You cannot impose a fundamental change to the market’s price-discovery mechanism in the name of “global best practices” without rigorous due diligence, proper consultation, stress-testing and consideration of its consequences.

Copying a global practice is not reform.

Blindly importing a system without understanding its consequences is regulatory negligence.

When millions of traders and investors are forced to live with the consequences of a flawed implementation, they must be held responsible.

Accountability cannot end with the circular. It must begin with the people who wrote it.

I wrote, requested SEBI Chairman to review & inquire about #CAS Manipulation & Volatility in last few minutes.

27 August BSE during last 12 minutes of trading at NSE/BSE Sensex crashed over 2,200 points & than recovered 2,000 points.

Want Action against Manipulators

To @FinMinIndia @PMOIndia
SEBI is potentially in breach of its statutory duty under Section 11 of the SEBI Act, 1992, by permitting Closing Auction Session (CAS) in which inadequate liquidity can produce disproportionate movements in the official closing price, thereby compromising orderly price discovery, market integrity and investor protection.

[Saketh R @saketh1998]

I genuinely still don’t understand how this system works, so I have a question.

Assume two large institutions. One places a huge buy order for a thousand crore on Reliance at 10% higher during the 15 minute auction period, and another places an equally large sell order at the same price. If both orders match, Reliance closes 10% higher.

Now assume both institutions have already loaded up aggressively on call options worth thousands of crores on expiry day. The jump in Reliance and the index could give them multiplied returns on those calls, while the loss on the Reliance shares may be limited to around 10%.

The next day, they could potentially repeat the same thing on the downside and offset the equity gain and loss, while still keeping the massive profits made in options.

This is purely hypothetical, but does the system practically allow something like this to happen?

Closing Auction System = Capital Account Suicide

Immediately Stop CAS !

If you Implement something without understanding the DEPTH and LIQUIDITY in Markets, it only exposes Loopholes which can be Exploited exclusively by the BIG & FAT Players, Leaving behind Innocent Retail Capital Account Suicide ( CAS )

When there is Negligible Participation in Opening Auction, how can the Closing Auction be introduced on which weekly options Expiry depends? This can be used to Embezzle 1000s of Crores in a matter of Seconds.

You Blink for the Closing Price and either Options are a Jackpot or Zero

STOP Immediately and Review 🙏

@monidipadeb_ @overtrader_ind @alisurti_21 @itsJohanLiebert My strong advice to you is QUIT it. It's never too late. Just focus on your education and career. If you fail in trading at age 30, you would've already closed other doors and would have nowhere to go. Just move on and focus on overall balance in life. Hope it helps.

@monidipadeb_ @overtrader_ind @alisurti_21 @itsJohanLiebert 3. I started trading when I was 20..stopped when I turned 26. I dedicated 6 GOLDEN years of my life. Giving your youth for this isn't worth. Focus on your career, take up some professional course or certification like CFA. You can enter markets as a qualified participant.

Why no action on the accused and no bulldozer action taken against them?
